Hi everyone, :)
my name is Dorothea and I'm from a small village in Germany.
I’m 18 years old and in the 12 grade of school. I’m absolute beginner at workaway and truly looking forward to all the experience.
In my free time I’m interested in lots of different things, the most important interests beside my family and friends are doing sports, playing piano and go dancing. Apart from that I enjoy being in nature, going on hikes and bicycle toures. I like playing Beachvolleyball, parties and drawing/painting. I really love taking photos everywhere I go and everything I see. I’m interested in language, culture and sustainability. My family never had a dog, but I love dogs and have already some experience with dog sitting. I’m a big friend of animals and one little dream is riding horses some day because I didn’t even do it before. I also love pigs and cows, in my opinion all animals have to enjoy equal rights doesn’t matter whether dog, pig, cow or fish. That's why I’m vegetarian but try to eat vegan as much as possible and I like experimenting with new recipes.

During my summer break in 2023 I did my first workaway experience. I’d like to travel more after graduating next year. To work with nice people, learn new things and especially to improve my English skills. I’d like to make friends and I’m looking forward to find a travel buddy which shares the same interests. :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m very involved with work and for me it’s obviously to help each other. My family lives on a renovated farm with a big garden and vacation apartments. I grew up with helping with the household, to clean or to do gardening. I help my mom to grow flowers, cut bushes, to decorate the garden, to pick berries, apples and cherries.
I love dogs and have already some experience with taking care as well as some times baby sitting. In the past I cared elderly and dependent persons in internship at the hospital.
If someone ask me to described myself I would say that I’m diligent, reliable and I have a practiced eye for creative things, art and decoration. I really enjoy learning new things (for example with cooking) even if I need sometimes a little bit longer. I’m buoyant, humorous and always prepared for an adventure.
