Hello :) !

My name is Danielle, I am a curious and open 24 y/o female, born and raised in South Africa, traveling in Europe for around 6 months. I have double nationality - South African / Irish. My mother tongue is English, but I can speak French (especially after spending a year in France to complete my Masters in sustainable agrifood systems).
I am a curious individual and I love to have an open heart and open mind. I am now solo traveling to explore, discover, learn, and surely to grow as I meet new people and places. People describe me as sunny, and always smiling and laughing. I also have a sensitive side which I am learning to honour.
I am committed to a sustainable lifestyle, and follow a vegan diet. I enjoy simple meals and sharing moments with people. I will be happy to contribute to your projects, to learn about you and your country and culture, and to introduce you to mine.

In terms of work I am happy to do whatever you need, I enjoy being outdoors and have no trouble with dirt or a few scratches. I love animals and I love children too ❤️.
I have years of experience in tutoring, and I have worked for 1 and a half years for a volunteer organisation working with children in marginalized communities.

By now I also have gained experience in doing Workaways and volunteering - having done 4 this year so far.

My biggest asset is my positive attitude that I contribute to those around me ! I am willing to work.

I have some experience in gardening, through volunteering while in university, and some knowledge on agrifood systems from my studies (Masters in Transitions in Agrifood Systems). I am also used to helping around the house, fixing things and cleaning.

Since traveling I’ve gained more experience in house restoration and garden work.

I speak English fluently, and I can speak French (less fluently but I can still hold a conversation and have great comprehension).

I can cook vegan and vegetarian meals, and I can bake. I am skilled in writing in English. I have some basic outdoor skills, as I love hiking and camping.

I am also very willing to learn and get outside my comfort zone.

Danielle stayed in our house for one week. We had a great cooperation and comunication. Everything works well. She helped us with mulching garden, praparing wood, and bee frames, drying apples. She went to school to give english classes for childern which really apreciate it. It was a pleasure to host such a workawayer.
