If it's because I got a 3 star review in my profile (almost 10 years ago), please read it and it was just because the work involved more physical lifting which I was a bit slower at. This was almost 10 years ago so I will be faster and more experienced now, and I will work hard at the tasks :).*

Hi, I am a quiet, friendly guy and looking for a career break doing voluntary work alongside some traveling to get fitter, see the world and spend more time outside in nature. I am interested in travelling around a few Workaway sites in Europe starting in Austria, then hopefully at a host in Italy before moving down into Spain to finish. I love animals so would love to find a farm to help work at and look after animals, or to do eco projects and garden/ building work, or even home stay pet sitting. I have done voluntary work traveling in France in the past and did my first Workaway project in Spain a number of years ago and enjoyed it, and I'd really like to do some more now I have another chance to travel as part of a career break and learn more about different cultures and hopefully learn some of the local language. I'm looking to find quieter towns and get away from the big city I live in UK, and try a more peaceful rural life. I have helped on a farm before which I enjoyed. I have suffered with some social anxiety in the past, so am looking for quieter sites with just a few people so I can feel comfortable and get to know you :) . I like meeting and getting to know people, but I do like having some personal time in the evenings also, especially as I am studying a course online part-time also. I enjoy visiting new places and hope to be able to that while travelling, and I like to go on cycling or hiking trips also. I am always very respectful of people's homes and make sure to look after them.
I'm a non-smoker too and only drink alcohol occasionally. I'm happy to do a WhatsApp call before agreeing too.
I hope to meet some hosts soon :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have studied Biological Sciences at Nottingham Trent University, after I got a job working for the Home Office in Immigration for almost 2 years. I am a friendly, reliable and a hard worker and have computer qualifications so am good with using computers. I also have building and gardening experience from some past voluntary work abroad in France and Spain. Later I worked for NHSBT helping distribute and store blood donations for provision to hospitals which was hard work and difficult hours but helped make me more reliable and mature.
I would really like to travel to meet new people, see new places and cultures and really enjoy myself and improve my confidence. I am looking to try new things and am happy to try anything from, work in a hostel, construction work, work with animals, IT work, or even farming. I also like cooking so am happy to help out there also.
