Hello!
I'm a 30-year-old Boston, Massachusetts, USA native. I left my IT/business consulting job in January 2019 and have been traveling throughout the Americas ever since.
Since leaving the corporate world, I feel I have become more at peace and inspired, energized by life; wanting to try anything/everything. All of my pursuits have circled around a strong, supportive community - a community that is respectful towards both the human and non-human world.
During my travels, I have held several paid and volunteer positions at hostels, farms, ski resorts, restaurants, and migrant/refugee shelters.
Recent experience includes:
- January to May 2021, I managed operations of a 300 capacity migrant/refugee shelter on the US/Mexico border, leading a staff of 15-20 volunteers.
- May through October 2021, I led multi-day biking/hiking tours throughout Maine, USA for a global travel company.
- October 2021 through January 2022, I held a contract IT consulting position.
- May through October 2022, I worked on a university research farm and studied sustainable farming practices.
- I currently work in sustainability, and am a chicken farmer, gardener, and herbalist
My passions include: gardening, cooking, biking, hiking, skiing
Some things I would love to learn include: sailing, surfing, woodworking/carpentry, and guitar
Certifications: Sustainable Farming, Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
I'm looking for unique, community-based experiences.
