Hi, I'm Caro, 34, from Leipzig, Germany.

Right now I'm working with huskies in Norway: mushing, dog care, a fair bit of carpentry on the side. Before that I spent a season in the Australian outback: shearing sheep, fixing fences with actual barbed wire in 40°C heat, and driving more farm machinery than I ever expected to. And before all that I worked in event management in Germany for years – taught me a lot about staying calm when everything falls apart at once, but it never felt like "my thing" the way working with animals does.

I grew up doing horseback vaulting competitively (started at 10, still can't really explain the sport to people who haven't seen it), so animals and physical work have basically always been part of my life, the office years were more of a detour.

What I bring: I don't mind hard physical work, I've fed/dewormed/vaccinated/sheared more sheep than I can count, built and repaired plenty of fences, and I'm decent with tools and machinery (always happy to get better at the technical stuff). I'm used to figuring things out on my own without someone standing over my shoulder, but I also like pulling my weight in shared housing – cooking together, splitting chores, all that.

I'm not looking for a short stopover. If I commit to something, I want to actually learn it properly and be useful, not just visit for two weeks and leave right when it gets interesting.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Sheep work: feeding, deworming, vaccinating, treating wounds, shearing, herding on alpine pastures

Fencing: building and repairing wire, wooden and electric fences

Tractors & trucks: comfortable driving them for basic farm work, want to get more practice

Machines & tools: can do basic maintenance and repairs, always trying to learn more

Animal care: feeding, cleaning, general care (mostly dogs, horses and sheep)

Hand tools & power tools: no problem using them

Working independently: I see what needs doing and just get on with it, don't need someone telling me every step
