Description

Hello! We are Marie & Carlo, a young German couple (both 19) who would love to see the world.

We have been together for two and a half years and both graduated from school this summer. Carlo plans to study social studies, while Marie is still exploring what she wants to study.
Before fully starting our work and study life, we want to take the chance to travel together, discover new countries and immerse ourselves in different cultures.
We both love animals very much – we have cats at home and often take care of pets in our neighborhood. Being in nature is also something we really enjoy: whether it’s the beach, the mountains, sunshine or even the rain.
Marie loves baking and is always happy to share her creations. We would also like to become a bit more active and sporty – something we believe will come naturally while being abroad.
As people we are open-minded, responsible and curious. Carlo is a bit more outgoing and lively, while Marie is rather calm and thoughtful – together we balance each other well. We enjoy laughing and having fun, but also value meaningful and serious conversations.
Languages are important to us: we are native German speakers and both speak English almost fluently. Marie can also understand some French and communicates quite well in Italian.
Our interests include politics, philosophy, art, creativity and hands-on activities. We are also open to trying many different kinds of food and are always excited to experience local traditions and lifestyles.

We are looking forward to helping out, learning new skills, and creating wonderful memories through Workaway! 🌍✨

We are both motivated to learn and not afraid to get our hands dirty.
Some of our main skills and experiences include:
• Animal care: We have cats at home and regularly looked after pets in our neighborhood (dogs, cats, small animals). We enjoy spending time with animals and are happy to help with feeding, walking, or general care.
• Household and cooking: We are used to helping around the house with cleaning, organizing and daily tasks. Marie enjoys baking.
• Gardening & outdoor work: We both like working outside, whether it’s watering, weeding, planting or general maintenance.
• Practical and creative tasks: We are open to handwork, painting, small repairs, or creative projects.
• Languages: Native German speakers, almost fluent in English, Marie also speaks some Italian.
