Ever dreamed of trading city lights for the Canadian wilderness? That's exactly what I'm doing!
Hi, I'm Birk.
As an 18-year-old from Germany, I'm setting off to Canada at the end of October for a year of work and travel. The Canadian wilderness is calling my name! I'm excited to explore new cultures, push my limits, and of course, hit as many slopes as possible. I'm curious about everything new and want to improve my English while becoming more independent. Besides studying and working, I love trying new sports, coding, and playing music. Canada offers me the perfect opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and grow. I'm excited for whatever adventures await me.

I was told about workaway from my mum, that worried about me going to Canada on my own.

I'm a people person who loves working in a team and making a difference. My time in the restaurant taught me the importance of being flexible and keeping a smile on my face, even when things get hectic. And working in manufacturing showed me that I really enjoy getting my hands dirty and creating something from scratch. I'm comfortable with Microsoft Office and I enjoy dabbling in programming in my spare time. I'm always up for a challenge and eager to learn new things.

!I am a 18-year-old and have under 1 year experience of driving in Germany, so my drivers licence sadly isn't valid in Canada!!!!
