Description
Hi, I'm Bikash. I am currently based in Kathmandu and spend my summers in europe traveling in my van. I am an architect by profession who enjoys working on the site as much as designing on a computer screen . Sustainable design and timber construction is what interests me most. I speak English, German, Nepali fluently. I have worked in Germany, Luxembourg and Nepal mainly in housing, renovations, earthquake reconstruction, community driven design which even included a compost toilet and a shephards tent and stove. I know basic carpentry but would love to learn more and also off the grid living. I would like to work under an experienced carpenter/Builder. I want my stay to be a learning experience.
I love the outdoors and roadtrips. I have a van which I converted into a camper and also live/travel in it occasionally. So accomodation is not necessary. Just a place to park and access to the toilet and power supply.
I am easy going and unkompliziert.

Bikash is a very friendly and skilled architect who we really liked hosting. He fullfilled all the work he was asked for (mainly craftsmannship and woodwork) independently and with great precision. He is very nice to be around with and we would host him again in the future any time.
PS: He is a very good cook, too.:))

I had a wonderful stay with Anne and Peter. I stayed for two weeks and helped with construction work and learnt a lot. I had a wonderful stay at Stefans. The location is beautiful in the foothills of the german Alps. The atmosphere superchill. Stefan was clear in communicating what needs to be done and you could pick your tasks and also the time. I like this as it never felt like you were obligated to do something. I enjoyed my stay in the ecovillage. There is a colourful mix of residents and volunteers and a variety of tasks to choose from. Bikash is a very easy going man, very hard worker and with lots of initiative. He is very knowledgeable, very wise, we trusted his opinions and highly valued his ideas.
