Description

Hi, my name is Bennet and my life is all about nature!
I come from a small village in northern Germany and I've spend my childhood, wandering through the fields and forests with my friends, imagining beeing on some "Lord of the Rings-Quest to Mordor". We would often build our own small cottages to spend the night somewhere in the woods and I just loved the excitement of these adventures.
The older I got, the more I enjoyed to travel to other countries, explore the nature but also get to meet the people who live there. On my first solo-trip I traveled to Portugal to attend a permaculture-designcourse and really had to get out of my comfortzone. Because of family vacation trips to Denmark and Sweden I fell in love with the countries in northern Europe. The beauty of the mountains, forest and lakes allways hold a special place in my heart but also the people and their culture with the language, the music or the history are somehow special to me.
Because of that I've spend a few months after school, working in different places in Finland and the baltic states using workaway. I've really loved to meet local people but also live and work with them. I've especially enjoyed a long stay at a berryfarm in Kuopio, Finland (Even though I've never worked so hard in my life). After that I've startet to study forest-science in Germany. I've just begun my masterstudies and start to get very tired of all the theoretical stuff, especially working with my laptop all day long. So I got the idea to restart this workaway-account of mine to use the freetime between the semesters to volunteer at some place in Scandinavia or Finland to get a bitt off physical work again but also to meet new people :)
A bit more about me:
Apart from spending time in nature (hiking, running, cykling, camping, ...) I really love music. I listen to it all the time, love many many different genres and bands from Radiohead to finish Folkmetalbands and also play guitar and sing with a drummerbuddy from time to time. It might sound a bit made up but I really like to work hard when I see the reason. I don't get good feelings by hanging around all day, so I really don't mind to get physically hard work and also love to get into some kind of work I've never done before. I live in a shared flat since over 4 years and I would say I get allong quite well with all kinds of people. I usually don't eat meat but I am not strict and quite chill about that. I've volunteered a bit at a fire station and a working place for disabled people. I've started to learn to speak swedish about a year ago. I'm a bit off a quiet person but also love a good coversation....
There's still a lot to say but I have the feeling this is allready taking to much space. If you want to know something specific, feel free to ask me! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I especially enjoy to work outside. On my last workaway-experience I've planted thousands of strawberrys and raspberrys and had to prepare the soil with water. A few years ago I took part in a permaculture-course in Portugal and love to work with plants or gardening tasks but also to chopp a lot of firewood and shovel snow around :)
I speak english, german and a bit swedish.
I have no problems with hard work and it is importent for me to achieve something every day.
I can play the guitar :)
