Living in Madrid for a year!!

Heeyy! 🌞🦋
My name is Arene and I live in northern Spain (Basque Country). To be honest that does not define me a lot but it works as a short introduction.
Last year I graduated from university (I studied geology) and lately I have been reflecting on a lot of aspects of my life. Now not only do I have to think about what I am going to do next but also what kind of lifestyle do I really want to pursue... and well, something I am sure about is that I want to continue traveling and that for me traveling is more than just something we do once a year in our leisure time. Traveling allows me to discover other realities different from mine and that makes me contemplate life from another perspective. It also makes me trust the unexpected and the unknown, both the people and the circumstances, and because of that I have learned to slow down when traveling, accept help from (and help) others and be grateful for that. So when I travel its very important for me to meet local people and to really connect with them, I value human communities and human interactions a lot!
I feel the most joyful when I am in nature so I love hiking, swimming, going for a walk with my dog, spending time with animals... Also I think that what makes me the happiest are the most mundane and simple things like art and the beauty of it, deep human connections, good food, the sun...
I'm a really curious person and I love to learn and debate about culture, geopolitics, sociology, phylosophy... and I also consider myself adventurous and active. I love to play and to be silly and I don't care looking childish, in fact, I hope to be childish when I am old hahahah
Regarding my travels I am now more interested in traveling solo and in trying alternative ways of traveling such as hitchhiking, work exchange/volunteering... When I'm traveling I like to spend time in nature, get to know local people and try new things. I have traveled by myself before and I have some experience hitchhiking alone and in group. I have plenty of experience in work exchange. I'm planning to travel solo this spring/summer and I am open to new experiences and I am ready to embrace spontaneity. I would like to find someone with the same travel style as me that loves adventure, nature and most importantly LIFE ITSELF!

I speak Spanish and Basque fluently, those are my mother tongues. I also speak English quite well (C1 level) and I understand it without any problem. I would like to enhance my English and learn some French or German. Also always interested in learning basic words of the local language of the country Im traveling in.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm open to learn new things and I consider myself open minded and flexible. I have some experience teaching kids where I live and I am good taking care of animals cause I have always had animals (not only pets) at home. I have done 5 WorkAway projects so far:
1. I worked at a hostel in Tirana (Albania) and I used to work in the bar, cook dinner and breakfast, help cleaning the dorms... I did a little bit of everything.
2. I stayed at a villa in Coruche (Portugal) where I helped in the kitchen doing dishes and cooking food for a kids summer camp. I also cleaned and helped with general house maintenance.
3. I stayed at a family house in Faro (Portugal) and I did a bit of gardening.
4. I stayed at a hostel/family house in a rural village in the desert of Morocco and I learned to make mud bricks for future natural building projects.
5. I helped at a farm in Manisa (Turkey) mainly cooking, cleaning and in some painting projects.
