We're currently travelling in Asia since April. We are interested in meeting locals, exploring culture, enjoying nature in a relaxing and active way and helping sustainable initiatives!

Description

Antoine:
Hi I am Antoine, 26 years old.
I am from France but I have lived most of my life abroad such as in Belgium, Netherlands and more recently I worked for a season in a ski resort in Austria.
I really like travelling and love meeting and talking to new people as well as learning from them and their own culture.
Easy going and friendly, I also have a Master's degree in Earth Sciences/Environmental management making me an environmental friendly person with some background skills on that topic.

Isis:
Hi! I am Isis, I'm 23 years old. I'm from the Netherlands and currently finishing my Masters's degree (also) in Earth Sciences/Environmental management. I'm passionate about nature, sustainability and animals. Although I haven't traveled extremely much in my life so far, I am very eager to travel and live beyond the cultural beliefs and norms I grew up with. I've always been excited to connect with international people and try to always be respectful, kind and open to whatever comes my way!

We are currently travelling in Asia since April 2024. The idea for us is to discover more about this region of the world while meeting and learning from local people and communities. The idea is not to travel like mass tourism but more discovering the areas from a different and local point of view.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Antoine: I did a Master's degree at the University of Amsterdam in Earth Sciences (Environmental management track). These studies allowed me to develop a deep understanding about the issues that the environment and the climate endure. It also developed a connection between me and the environment and nature around me.
My other skills unrelated to studies:
- I am energetic and sporty. I don't mind using my strengh and my body for tasks that require that.
- I am very easy going and like helping a lot. I worked as part time job as a waiter and in service. Serving people to make them satisfied is something that thrills me.
- I can talk few languages and I am always happy to learn more and to teach about what I know

Isis: I also did a Master's degree at the University of Amsterdam in Earth Sciecnes with a track in Environmental Management. Before I did a Bachelors in Sustainability. With this, I'm able to analyse, manage and develop solutions for complex environmental issues. Moreover, I can be a bit of a computer geek as I specialise in geographical information systems (GIS or GEO-IT).
- Besides my love for nature, I also care a lot about animals. I've had and have rabbits as pets and am very passionate about providing them the right care (as many pet rabbits are mistreated). Although I don't have direct experience with other pet care, providing for and helping animals comes very natural to me.
- Beyond that I also have an artistic side! Although a little fallen behind due to my studies, I love to draw, paint and do embroidery!
- Lastly, I've had many part-time jobs in many different settings which gave me various communication skills and service skills. Such as: museum host, bartender, waitress, covid supervisor in a highschool and cashier.

Antoine: I really like all kinds of sport. I really love snowboarding and kitesurfing even though I am more a begginer for the last one. I also like cycling. Cooking is not a problem for me. Board games are always fun. I like music and have been trying to learn guitar for the past 2 years. Lastly I could add that I like geography which joins my interests in travelling to several different places.

Isis: I have many many interests and hobbies, maybe a bit too many to be good at any of them... To name some: hiking, gardening, yoga, cooking, baking, reading, pole dancing, drawing, painting, enjoying concerts, games, movies/series/animes,, Antoine and I also share many hobbies :)
