Description

I am an author and musician with some DIY and artistic skills, working on several projects at any time, but also using workaway in order to be involved in some meaningful and physical projects so I spend more time feeding my need to be in the real, preferably natural world making good memories, and less time hunched over a laptop! I grew up by the sea in the southwest of England. I have lived in towns, cities, squats, a co-operative community, and a volcanic cave in the mountain forests (of Tenerife). I have made friends with people from around the world, dogs, cats, rats, chickens and once a rescued mouse. I have worked as a community musician, art director, chef and caretaker. I have released a double LP of my music, and co-wrote "Das Unsichtbar Raumschiff", a successful (in it's second print) Comic Book for children in Germany. I have also worked in video editing and film production. I did some workaway before spending lockdown with my ex-partner and her boys in Paris, with whom I have been working on a number of artistic projects with music elements. I also have a lot of friends in Hamburg, so my school French and German get used as well as my native English. I am interested in technology that can contribute to saving civilisation in some form (!), and am vegetarian. In my spare time I like walking, cycling, playing music (guitar, bass and voice) and getting lost and found again (in space, music, even life sometimes!).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked as an art director, chef, community musician, co-operative housing administrator and caretaker. I like sorting stuff out, and using non-professional DIY and woodworking skills, which I am always interested in expanding upon. I am interested in sustainable systems, and I can cook. I can help with basic cycle maintenance and repairs, and some mac-based IT and repair. With my ex-partner I was involved in the raising of her two boys from ages 4 to 18. Recently I have re-discovered my film-making skills, and would be happy to help out with any video project, shooting, editing, starring! I am a tenacious problem-solver and enjoy doing a good job. I am healthy and have no problem with mucky physical outdoors work. I have a full clear UK driving licence, and I have no criminal record.
