Description
Hello, my name is Alivia.
I'm a 32 year old Kiwi with a huge passion for travel and adventure!
I love to explore new places and meet new people. After having travelled extensively, I've settled in Victoria, Australia for the last wee while. I now work as a software developer and the original intention of that was to live more of a remote lifestyle. Being from New Zealand has fostered my appreciation for nature and I love the countryside so my long term goal is a tiny house with my own land with a wee English style garden. I'm looking to volunteer closer to home now on my weekends, to learn the skills to live sustainably and also skills to one day build my own tiny house. Along the way I'd like to get to know new people and help out other communities whilst they build a similar life for themselves.
I am very friendly and easy going, hard working, and love to learn new skills! Everything creative- glass art, painting, general crafts, writing, and music- I love. I studied music, guitar specifically, for four and a half years back in New Zealand before starting my travels, on and off, back in 2016, and moving to Melbourne in 2020.
As far as past workaway experience goes, I have done a lot of gardening around the world for various people and my work before becoming a software developer was as a housecleaner, babysitter, caregiver/support worker and ice cream scooper :)
I look forward to meeting you and contributing in any way I can towards the creation of your chosen lifestyle, whilst learning the skills towards later building my own. See you soon!
