Hi! I'm Aline, a primary school teacher from Belgium. I have always been interested in other cultures and I love travelling. When I was young, my family and I moved to China for almost four years, which is probably where the adventurous side of me comes from. I'm a pretty calm person, but I also love being active and testing my limits.

I find happiness in the little things in life and go on small adventures with my dog. I've always liked to do something meaningful, which is why I love teaching and have also done some small volunteering jobs in the past. A small part of my teaching internship was completed in Uganda, where I got to see a whole different side of education. Unfortunately, my time there was cut short due to COVID, and I had to return early. It was really challenging, but I would love to go back one day and meet up with the teachers there.

I have already seen a lot of beautiful countries in Asia and Africa, but the trip I loved the most was a group trip to Tanzania, where we volunteered in a rural village, planting trees and building toilets. This is what I want to do in the next couple of months: traveling while doing something rewarding and meaningful and meeting new people.

I would love to learn Spanish, so I have just started online, but of course, real interactions are the only way to actually learn a language. I love speaking English and would love to maintain and brush up my knowledge by teaching.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a bachelor's degree in teaching. I teach in Dutch, but my English is pretty good since I went to international school from 2nd to 5th grade. I started making my own jewelry a year ago and sell some items to friends and family. I've lived on my own now for about two years with my dog, Mayla, whom I trained by myself. I love working with children and animals.
