Description

Originally from a small island at the bottom of the world, we are 2 avid travellers currently making our way through Central & South America.

With nothing more than the packs on our backs and a thirst for adventure, we left the comfort of our home in New Zealand to immerse ourselves in and learn from contrasting cultures - all while embracing the minimalist lifestyle.

After having journeyed through multiple continents as backpackers, we’re looking to level-up our travel experience through cultural exchange.

Hamish has been working in the hospitality industry since 2009; working in cafes, studying culinary arts and working for one of the top specialty coffee companies in New Zealand. He loves to share his passion for food & coffee and to pass on his knowledge in these areas. He would love to learn more about farming & growing food. He’s a yes man who’s keen to get stuck into any new task and believes that knowledge is power.

With an extensive background in digital marketing and social media management, Alicia is a master in all things marketing. After spending time elevating the website experience for New Zealand’s largest wine company and as a social media expert for international travel brands, she is excited to provide any helpful knowledge in the crucial area of marketing to help you sell the dream. With a keen eye for design and a love for writing, she can’t wait to get started on any inspiring projects that you throw her way.

When considering new places to visit, our hearts always settle on those that bring us closer to nature. We thrive spending time outdoors and aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty. We have a deep appreciation for learning about and looking after the land and also have a lot of love & patience for animals.

We have a shared passion for mindfulness and well-being, taking the time to practice yoga, meditation and exercise a healthy lifestyle. We love the opportunity to challenge our minds and are always open to taking on creative projects. Working in tidy spaces is also important to us, our ethos being that a clear and beautiful space equals a happy mind.
