Hello!

My name is Rebecca, I'm 30 years old and I come from Denmark. That was the basic information about me, now on to the more exciting stuff.

I am a very adventurous person, and I always have been. I like exploring new places, acquiring new skills and meeting new people - which I hope Workaway can help me with! I am very independent and i am used to travel alone. When I set my mind on something I make it happen, even if its out of my comfortzone. I dont really believe great things happen in your comfortzone, which is why I try to push mine.
I'm hardworking and very curious by nature, and I especially enjoy working with people and animals. My aunt has a couple of horses and some sheep, where I enjoy spending my time, and I have worked at different farms with Workaway, and therefore I know that farmlife can be quite hard - which I don't mind. I have also worked on hostels and with my jobs in Denmark I have worked with a lot of other people, and therefore I konw how to communicate and work together as a team. I have also worked with kids before :)
I'm a very cheerful, helpful and considerate person, and I try to make the best out of every situation. I will try to keep up the good spirit in every situation.

The reason I joined Workaway is to connect with different people and cultures and create my own great adventure! I would love to stay at a place with other workawayers, or with a family that is willing to let me be part of their family. Anywhere where people are sociable. I would like to stay a couple of months each place, just to get to know people properly and the culture. Besides animals and people, I love nature, and I would love to go hiking, surf and other fun activities.

I would like to stay in an area where it is possible to learn to surf and with a good community, im a beginner and would love to develop my surfing skills.

My next trip will be from December 2025 to May 2026, where I will be going to Central and South America.

I can speak spanish at a beginner/intermediate level, but I would love to learn it more and practice!

Here is a short presentation of my skills:
- I have graduated high school
- I have a driver's license, and I've had it since I was 18
- On my aunt's farm I have helped out with the animals, helped out during harvest season and occasionally driven the tractor
- In my sabbatical year I have worked at a kindergarten for nearly a year
- I have had multiple jobs with cleaning, the last one at a hospital
- I speak and write Danish and English fluently
- I am very creative e.g. I can crochet and I like upcycling old furniture
- I have worked on farms with focus on sheep and horses
- I have worked in a surf hostel and a surf store

Im eager to learn new skills, whether it be about animales, surfing, spanish, yoga, carpenting, learning about sustainable living and farming or a completly different thing.

My time at the hostel was amazing, the waves was not that good for me at the time, but everything else was great! The hostel is very nice with a big social area, and I think there can be maybe 10-15 guests, which I think was so great, because you become really close with the guests. I stayed at the hostel for 6 weeks, and I loved it. The work is very chill. You are in the reception and handle check in and check outs, and minor cleaning. I was one month here and I got to be a short time at the surf shop and then most of the time at the hostel.
