Hello!

My name is Quinlan. I am from Asheville, North Carolina, a small town filled with art, music, good food, and beautiful mountains. I am currently finishing up a season in the wilderness of Alaska, working as the cook for a luxurious, yet homey, backcountry lodge that is only reachable by plane. With winter just around the corner here, we are beginning to wrap up the last few weeks of the season. It has been such a wonderful experience to live remotely with little to no access to modern day conveniences.

A bit about me: This past year, I wrapped up a degree in the Culinary Arts/ Hospitality where I learned the techniques and culture of working in restaurants, kitchens, and hotels. That has been my focus for the past couple years, but I am interesting in exploring new realms, such as sustainable building, permaculture, wilderness guiding, and so much more.

My skills are centered around cooking, menu planning, guest services, animal care, childcare, and cleaning/organization, but am happy to pour my heart into any work you are willing to teach me.
I am a very thorough, precise worker, and a quick learner!

I am a very passionate yet quiet soul. I am passionate about art, being outdoors, plant-based food, and social justice. In my free time, I love riding my bicycle, cooking with friends, and creating pottery!

Work Experience:
I have a wide range of experience including working in restaurants and cafes (including hosting, serving, food prep, and more), working with children, caring for animals, working as a recreational attendant, and some construction experience.

I have excellent costumer service skills and work really well in groups! I am a thorough, detailed worker, and am always more than happy to get my hands dirty and pour my heart into even the smallest of tasks.
