  Description

  Hello! We will soon be a family of four: Lilian, Chico, 3yo Leonardo, and an infant. We moved from Washington D.C. to Rome for work. Chico is a journalist, and Lilian is a communications consultant. We love exploring Rome and Italy and travel often. We also cook a lot at home (though less after Leonardo was born).

  The location of our apartment is pretty amazing. We live on a chic street in the historic center of Rome, near Piazza Navona. You can walk pretty much anywhere. Museums and shops abound.

  Aide

  The ideal match is someone who is experienced and interested in taking care of a small baby (<1 year old). We are engaged parents but taking care of a baby/toddler for 24 hours a day can be exhausting! We want a person who is creative in spending time with a baby and remains calm and patient. The helper should be comfortable watching the infant alone for up to several hours at a time, either at home or out in the city. Clean-up is also a big part of babysitting, especially after meal times and with baby laundry.

  Hébergement

  You will have your own bedroom with a double bed and mostly your own bathroom. The bedroom is small but with plenty of room for one person and has a window facing the courtyard. You will share the bathroom with us because it is the only bathroom with a shower, but we use our own bathroom for the sink and toilet areas.
  
  For food, we can provide the basics: milk, coffee, eggs, fruits, vegetables, etc. The helper may use these ingredients to prepare meals. When we cook, the helper will be invited to join us.
  
  We try to keep our apartment very clean and do not wear shoes in the house.

  Rome is a living museum, and there are remarkable discoveries on almost every street. Public transportation in this city is not the best, but because we are so central, most of the well-known sites are reachable on foot. We are also steps away from a major bus stop that offers direct access to Termini, the main train station, and most other major points of interest. We live within easy walking distance of dozens of restaurants, plus three grocery stores, three pharmacies, wine bars, banks, a post office, the Campo de Fiori farmers' market, and numerous spots for gelato.
