  🌿 STAY IN A QUIET HOUSE IN THE HEART OF THE BULGARIAN COUNTRYSIDE

  Hi, I'm Ashlee — originally from England. In 2021, I made a dream move to a magical spot in central Bulgaria: a peaceful hilltop house surrounded by fields, forests, and fruit trees. It's a haven for wildlife and a perfect escape for anyone looking for solitude, creativity, and connection with nature.
  
  The house comes with barns, outbuildings, and two orchards bursting with apples, pears, plums, cherries, walnuts, peaches, grapes, and elder. It's nestled at the southern edge of a quiet village — my only neighbor is out of sight and rarely seen. Every day you'll be serenaded by birdsong and possibly greeted by deer, squirrels, pine martens, hares, and buzzards.
  
  The house itself is simple but full of character:
  A spacious open-plan kitchen/living area
  Two cozy bedrooms
  A large light-filled room that was my yoga and art studio
  Two balconies with stunning sunset views
  Modern toilet/shower room and a bathroom/utility room
  About half an acre of garden space
  Additional outbuildings to explore or use
  
  From then end of June 2025 I'm looking for reliable people to stay and take care of it. I am unable to travel at the moment due to health problems . The house could suit a couple, a solo adventurer, or a small group — especially those who enjoy peace, personal space, and getting stuck into small projects.

  It will be a peaceful retreat where you can be creative and relaxed and work alongside nature.

  I'm looking for someone to house-sit long-term — ideally for at least a few months.
  This is not a "holiday spot" for partygoers or nightlife seekers. It's a retreat into stillness — ideal for writers, digital nomads, remote workers, artists, nature lovers, or anyone needing quiet time to think, create, or reset.
  
  The exchange is simple :
  🔑 You live here rent-free
  💧 You pay only for your own bills (approx £35/month if used mindfully)
  🧼 Your only "job" is to keep the house immaculately clean and secure
  
  That's it.
  
  But if you do have DIY skills , all the better!
  I would be happy to discuss paid work if you're a builder, carpenter, painter, or landscape gardener — there are projects in the garden and buildings that could use a skilled hand.
  
  You must have your own car — the house is rural and public transport is not reliable. It's about:
  15 mins from Sevlievo
  25 mins from Veliko Tarnovo
  20 mins from Pavlikeni
  30 mins from Dryanovo
  
  There's internet, decent heating, and enough space to work, rest, and enjoy the seasons. Creative use of the space is encouraged.
