  Description

  My name is Tomas, I’m 39, from Prague, but currently live on my own (single, no kids) in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm in the Czech Republic. I also spend time at a simple wooden cabin located not far from the Beskydy mountains. The cabin is off-grid and intentionally minimal: there is no electricity, water comes from a natural spring, and there is a dry toilet. It is surrounded by nature and quiet countryside.
  
  The place is a long-term personal project. I maintain it myself. The focus is on preserving a simple, calm environment close to nature. In the future it may serve as a small space dedicated to silence and meditation, but currently it is primarily a private cabin that requires regular maintenance and physical work.
  
  I’m a native Czech speaker with fluent English (I studied at college in the US, lived abroad for several years, and visited about 35 countries).
  
  I value structure, clarity and responsibility. I prefer direct communication and clear agreements about work and expectations. This is not a social community or party environment. It is suited for someone who enjoys outdoors, independence, and quiet surroundings.

  The cabin itself is quiet and remote, located on a hill below the ruins of a medieval castle. Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, where I live, is about one hour away from the cabin.
  
  Rožnov is known for its strong connection to traditional Moravian culture. It is home to the Wallachian Open Air Museum (Valašské muzeum v přírodě), one of the largest and oldest open-air museums in Central Europe, where traditional wooden architecture, crafts and rural life are preserved. The region has a distinct folklore heritage, including traditional music, costumes and seasonal festivals.
  
  The nearby Beskydy mountains offer extensive hiking routes, forests, viewpoints and natural landscapes. For someone who enjoys mountains and outdoor environments, this area provides many opportunities for exploration during free time.
  
  I can share local knowledge, hiking routes and practical information about the area. We may visit Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and nearby places of interest, taste local traditional cuisine and hike to Pustevny with its famous restaurant "Libusin" built in 1898 in traditional Slavic architecture style.
  
  I can also share experience related to long-term meditation practice and simple living in nature (I lived as a forest Buddhist monk in Asia for several years).
  
  I would like to learn how to take care of my garden, hear about the culture and traditions of your country and potentially learn how to cook some of your country's traditional meals.

  Aide

  The main help needed are physical outdoor tasks at the cabin during the spring clean-up period.
  
  The core tasks include:
  
  Gardening/Cleaning and preparing the garden after winter.
  Cutting and collecting grass.
  Raking leaves and organic debris.
  Applying protective stain to the large cabin, small cabin, and fence.
  General outdoor maintenance.
  Basic cleaning inside the cabin.
  
  Some tasks we may do together, especially when planning or organizing work. However, many tasks will be done independently, so it is important that you are comfortable doing tasks alone and staying focused without supervision. You will be staying alone in the cabin, I live 1 hour away.
  
  This is practical maintenance help in a quiet natural environment. A basic level of physical fitness and comfort with manual tasks is important.
  
  Experience with the abovementioned activities is a strong advantage.
  
  If the cooperation works well for both sides, this could become regular help in spring and autumn in the future.

  Hébergement

  The accommodation is a private sleeping space inside the wooden cabin. The cabin is simple and off-grid.
  
  There is no electricity. Lighting is by candle or headlamp. There is no Wi-Fi. Mobile signal is good. Water comes from a natural spring and is available in the cabin. There is a dry toilet outside. Heating is by wood stove when needed. A large battery is available for charging electronic devices (enough for keeping your phone on for a few days).
  
  A bed, mattress and basic bedding are provided. You should be comfortable with simple conditions and basic facilities in nature. If you need hot shower/bath or do your loundry, you are welcome to use my flat in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm.
  
  There is a small kitchen area with basic equipment. No meals are provided. Instead, I offer 500 CZK per day as a food allowance so you can buy and prepare your own food according to your preferences. Groceries are about a 15-minute walk away, and a restaurant 20 minutes.
  
  This accommodation is suited for someone who appreciates quiet, nature and simplicity rather than comfort or modern infrastructure.
  
  During weekends, the neighbours may be staying in the remaining 4 cabins located within the 2,000 m2 fenced area.

  The cabin is about a 30-minute walk from the "Podhradni Lhota" train station.
  
  House rules:
  This is a quiet area in nature. Please respect the forest, neighbours (if they're present), and natural surroundings. No littering. Loud music or disruptive behaviour is not appropriate.
  Any drugs are strictly prohibited.
  Limited alcohol consumption is acceptable.
  No additional visitors without prior agreement.
