  I am Ben, a 46 year-old American living many years in Spain with my Spanish wife and teen daughter. I enjoy running, my daughter is a guitar playing songwriter, and out chocolate labrador does some tricks (the cats do more). I am slowly building a little organic garden of eden on a piece of land adjacent my house and could use some help getting some projects underway.

  You get to hang out with a talkative American who has lived for twenty years in Europe with his Spanish wife and sixteen year-old musician daughter. We all speak Spanish fluently and have no problem helping you to learn the language. You can also learn about organic gardening, water conservation, plant propagation, recycled building techniques, vegan cooking, and more.

  Aide

  We live in a small residential neighbourhood on the outskirts of Marbella, Spain (2km from the beach). I have a small "urban farming" project that has been evolving over the past several years. I could really use some help to give it a boost with some additional projects that I never seem to find time to undertake (building a small pallet house, a fence, additional planting, clearing of brush, etc.). I am not too demanding as the work can be tough (especially in the summer heat) and requires lifting and getting your hands dirty. I only need a few hours a day help in exchange for room and board and good conversation for hours on end. ;) You will have plenty of time to get out and enjoy Marbella and its beaches.
  
  We live in a cute little rustic styled townhouse and have a small guest room that could possibly accommodate a couple who is not too fussy about sleeping arrangements. We also have a huge pool and community gardens that are the envy of other neighborhoods. My 16 year-old daughter and I are vegan but my wife is more flexitarian. We have an awesome chocolate labrador and three cats. Our neighborhood is really cool and relaxed - feels like living in the country but downtown is only 3km away and the beach is at the bottom of the hill. There is a bus stop about 500M from the house.
  
  My organic garden is an abandoned piece of land that belongs to the city (I am a squatter of sorts) and I have slowly built it up to being a conversational piece for neighbors and friends who visit as it is a unique little spot that blends perfectly into its surroundings and surprises all who discover it.
