Description
Are you a windsurfer, sailor, or just love being near the sea? We are getting a group of wind and sea loving enthusiasts together to share time together on the beautiful beach of Marinella in Sardinia, and we’d love for you to join us! I’m a Workawayer at a Windsurfing school at a beach near Olbia. The school here loves the Workaway concept and has generously offered to fellow Workaway volunteers the opportunity to host a free “open day!” Come spend the day with us and learn about windsurfing!

The beach in July is usually very hot and sunny! Please bring with you enough water and sunscreen to be safe while outside. Parking is free but limited. It is easy to take the train from Olbia to the Marinella station and walk 10 minutes down to the beach. The event starts in the morning where we will introduce the school and some of the theoretical concepts of wind sports. Please bring something to eat together on a blanket in the sand. Sharing is welcomed and beach blankets and umbrellas are also recommended! In the afternoon you can try some beginners windsurfing maneuvers with a qualified instructor in the water. This event is free but if you desire, the school also offers kayaks and stand up paddle boards for rent, as well as more in depth courses in sailing and windsurfing. See you soon! 🤙
