  Description

  We are a family of 4 living in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina. We are outdoor enthusiasts and we take advantage of all the things this region has to offer each and every season. We mountain bike, hike, paddle, swim, ride horses, motorbikes, ski, snowboard, backcountry ski, etc. We are a bilingual family, Dad (49) and children 9 and 11 being from Austin, Texas, USA and Mom (42) from Argentina. We are all about sustainability and caring for the environment in every way we can and love to learn about other cultures and regenerative ways of living. We work in the film and education industry and love to get involved in creative projects in these fields. We have a cat.

  During your stay, you could learn from the argentinean culture and our story in how we raised 2 billingual and bicultural children.

  Aide

  We would ask for travellers that stay with us to speak to our children in Italian or French since we have a trip coming soon to Italy and France and we would like to gain some knowledge and are interested in learning more about those cultures from a native speaker. Our kids are most of the day at school and out on activities so evening and dinner time would be the perfect moment for these exchanges. If the person feels comfortable about it, we would also ask them to drive our kids to or from their activities that are in close proximity. Our kids areas of interest are the following: music (piano and guitar), soccer, aerial silks, gymnastics, kayaking, hiking, mountain bike riding, horse riding, visual arts, story telling, cooking.

  We are fluent in English and Spanish from Argentina (Native speakers) . Interested in Italian and French.

  Hébergement

  We have a cozy cabin fully equipped for a couple or an individual right in our backyard. It is a lake front property on Beautiful Gutierrez Lake, in the heart of Bariloche. We are 15 min to the ski center, 25 min downtown, 20 min to the airport. The cabin has its own Internet.

  Autres infos...

  During your time off, you could go explore the lake region, ride bikes, hike up to amazing refugios and explore other close by towns such as San Martin De los Andes, Villa La Angostura or El Bolson. If you like fishing and paddling, we have all the gear at the ready for you to enjoy. You could also take tango lessons downtown.
