We (Hannah, Ali, and Èva) had the most brilliant time staying with Francesco in his beautiful orange garden. It’s everything you wish a workaway to be, and more! The land is both peaceful and stunning and it’s a great opportunity to completely switch off and connect with nature. We enjoyed a variety of tasks day to day, and Francesco ensured that we felt supported & comfortable throughout. We also spent a few days in his neighbour’s garden olive picking. Francesco is a wonderful and kind host and his great sense of humour and humility made us quickly feel at home. He’s an excellent cook and we enjoyed freshly prepared meals (often with vegetables from the garden itself) everyday. We learned lots about Sicilian culture & history, and Francesco generously took us into Paterno on a few occasions to try the delicious arancini and granita. This workaway is the perfect opportunity to live as a local in the Sicilian countryside, we highly recommend it to everyone :). Thank you Francesco for welcoming us into your home, and for the treasured time we shared!

Nataly and Markus were a very interesting presence and company for us: mature, confident, with them in the group we had the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn a lot. They always worked with care and they made up a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the other volunteers and friends. They are precise in the work assigned, always available to share, listening to the situation and to each of their volunteer friends and to us nuns. They both have an attentive eye and this is evident in the beautiful photographs they take! Nataly fixed a large amount of windows with a lot of passion and professionalism, Markus collaborated more in the garden work with great patience, then adapting to any other task. Thank you so much for your presence here! A big wish for your future!

We had a lovely time with Marcela. As my daughter was at school when she visited us, she helped me in gardening and house chores. And she also cooked. Marcela is respectful, clean and friendly. We had some lovely chats on her country and her family, sharing our experiences. She adapted to our family very well and was very helpful. As she only speaks Spanish, communication with my 9 yo daughter was not easy and unfortunately she didn't have the chance to bond with Marcela.

Lucie and Sevan were the perfect guests. Such a fabulous couple with a positive attitude and eager to help. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together and are so grateful to have meet them. They helped trim hedges, split firewood, shift firewood, garden, fill trailer loads for the tip and much more. We can HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. ❤️

During his one week volunteering period, Bradley proved to be a good addition to the team. He did all assigned duties with great enthusiasm. His dedication to work and his friendly personality made him a good volunteer. His ability to connect with guests was exceptional, creating a warm atmosphere. Though his time was short, Bradley's positive impact was significant to the hostel. Our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to him for a bright and prosperous future.

Words can't capture all the amazing things I experienced in this community, the people, the love, the emotions and gratitude for everyday being able to wake up here and walk the path, among baby goats, cows, chickens and kitties to the morning yoga/meditation and to take the same path back to my hut at the end of the day, after a cold shower under a sky full of star, expressing out loud the gratitude for another great day in paradise. I feel like you receive a lot more than you give and the work hardly feels like work, it's a great opportunity for you to grow and you are very much encouraged to do so, receiving support and healthy appreciation. I was introduced to freediving, ice baths, krav maga, writing exercices, riding a bike with 3 persons on it haha and many other things special people shared with us and for which I am deeply grateful. I had so much fun along the way and felt so much love in every instant. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. Whoever gets the chance to stay here is a blessed person.

Our stay with Mike, Tricia and Olivia was great! We only stayed there for a week but they really made us feel at home. They made great efforts to show us the area and Australian culture, as well as made sure that we just had an all around great time with them. Their dogs are super cute and very friendly and we had great meals throughout our stay. Our little cottage provided us with everything our hearts could desire and overall we were very very happy.

First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude to Bec and Damian for their incredible hospitality and for allowing us to be a part of their lives for the entire three weeks! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with this very accommodating, friendly, and open-hearted family and all of their lovely animals. Almost immediately, we embraced the family and the entire atmosphere, and from day one, we felt at home. Whether it was after a wonderful dinner or during our breaks, Rebecca and Damian were always up for a chat, and caring for the animals was a real pleasure for us. We tackled our tasks around the house and garden with joy and were happy to lend a hand, whether it was taking care of animals, painting fences, or various gardening tasks. They always strive to make the work as pleasant as possible, and we never felt pressured or overwhelmed. On the contrary, through their experiences with many Workaways, they have plenty of tips and suggestions on how to make the most of your free time in this beautiful area. If you're looking for an authentic Workaway experience filled with joy and fun, this is the place to be! We already miss you and the animals so much and hopefully, we'll see you again soon!

Our visit was the highlight of our entire backpacking trip so far - inspiring and amazing place - it was life changing - so kind and hospitable and the work they do with the dogs is incredible- if you do this work away you will be very lucky ! we loved every minute thankyou so much for having us - Barney & Beth x

Hayley and Chris are very friendly and helpful, we felt like home and in a luxury holiday same time. The house nice and confortable and the area is beautiful. I really hope I can get back sometime, can help them more around the house and make our friendship stronger.

Nienke and Hans are so lovely and kind people. We stayed here for 6 days, they welcomed us warmly and we felt very comfortable. We had to plant lots of trees and help in the garden. The work was great fun and not too hard. There was delicious food, good conversation and always something to laugh about with them. We got lots of good tips for our further journey and Hans helped us a lot with our car. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thanks for everything! Fanni & Amelie from Germany

Luis was a very nice guy! He was great on teaching us different things about Germany! He also helped my mom which was very nice. He was attentive to details and got a long with everyone! I definitely recommend him. He was nice to have in our home and got along with everyone ! Welcome anytime Luis

It was a special experience in Kauai and my educator life. I started a moment just transmission of family from public school to homeschooling. Some part is hard to adapted yourself, but those part Steve had explained well before the interview. So it was challenge for me and I can say thank you so much to give me this opportunity and learned a lot for experience. All the kids are brilliant and shiny, truly lovely.

I spent six wonderful weeks on this Sanctuary. Sabine and Maddy are very lovely people and make you feel right at home. I really enjoyed working with the animals and learned a lot about animal care. You really notice how much love is put into this place and how much everyone cares for the animals. I will miss this beautiful place and my time there and would love to come back! I would highly recommend the sanctuary if you want to work with animals and learn more about them.

My time at Colina das Flores was much too short!! The day after leaving, I was already missing the loving people, sweet pets and beautiful surroundings I found there. This stay was a perfect break after visiting the busy neighbouring São Paulo, it's such a peaceful area with gorgeous scenery, and I found the work quite therapeutic too. Communication was brilliant, both before arriving and during my stay, so I instantly felt at home. Also really missing Yamila's incredible vegetarian meals! ;) Lots of love to you all and thank you for everything!! xx Alba

Jo and Jung Sun were very friendly and attentionate, providing comfy room and delicious meals. I spent the Spring blossom time there and don't regret a bit, as they showed us great places to see the beauty of Korean nature and culture. Gardening work can be a bit intense, but far from tiring, as there is a meditation room with exercise equipment to relax and be phisycally healthy. You have many hiking paths around, and a Buddhist community in another village with volunteers to work with on some days, I learnt a lot and will keep many great memories from this place and the people I met. Thank you again for all the kindness 😊

Campbell and Kirstie were with us for over 2 weeks and achieved a very significant amount of work in the garden and were of great support within the home cooking meals and completing minor repairs, etc. Campbell's extensive plant and gardening knowledge enabled valuable replanting of numerous species that needed to be moved from our future building block. Kirstie added many hours of stirling work in the garden removing copious weeds, replanting from the rear to the driveway area, all of which contributed to a much improved look to our 50 metre access way. We can highly recommend them as workawayers with a broad scope of experience, an affable and co-operative spirit and a mature approach to their interactions with their hosts.

Sef and her family were just absolutely amazing! i stayed in the cabin for a bit but decided I wanted to stay longer and they let me stay in another room in their house. As a horsegirl it was so nice to spent time with their 3 horses and help out around the farm and it was the perfect stay in Bega valley. Thank you again for everything and I can just recommend them to everyone who loves kids, nature and animals :)

Jula was a joy to host. She had a great attitude and work ethic. We host international high school students, and unlike them, she was hardly ever on her phone. She enjoyed to sit around us and be in our presence. It certainly helped with conversation. She was just as willing to cook, watch the kids, as she was for cleaning the bathrooms. She was a great help to have around as well as the company. We highly recommend her as a guest. Our first workawayer was terrible, we couldn't wait for her to leave. This caused us to be skeptical with the program, however, we agreed to host Jula as our second workawayer and we're very glad we did. Our faith has been restored.
