Description

We are two travelers (both female, age 25 and 27) from Finland and Denmark.

We are passionate about meeting and being with people from all over the world. We are very social, extrovert, and open and we both recharge as we engage in new adventures and encounters, which we believe working and living through the inspiring projects at Workaway can provide us. We are both dance artists and really curious about different cultures and their art and life philosophies. We love nature and wish to explore the beautiful and diverse landscape of Colombia, as we love hiking and are curious about farming and garden work. We are very motivated to learn Spanish fluently, even though we must admit our skills are still at a beginner level.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are both very social, outgoing and caring for the people around us. We have both worked within the service industry as waiters, which means we are good at communicating and connecting with all kinds of people. Teresa is also a dance teacher for both kids, families and adults, and Roosa is teaching dance for people with different types of disabilities. Teaching as well as dancing is something we both enjoy a lot, as we care for movement and the importance of feeling comfortable with your body, your surroundings and amongst the people you live. Roosa comes from Finland and she spent every summer in her childhood in her family's summer house on an island by the wild nature without electricity and other facilities. In her adult life she has been living 1 year in Germany and 4 years Denmark. Teresa has always been eager to take on new challenges and always dives in head first with a practical hands-on approach, whether it comes to building wooden structures, learning new languages (she speaks partially Spanish, Italian and French) or working as a volunteer.

Roosa is interested a lot at the moment learning salsa. She has taken beginner classes but is really interested to dive into it more during her travels. She loves swimming and painting in her free time. She also loves baking and is interested to taste new desserts from all over the world where she travels. She is also always up for joining board games and especially card games.

Teresa loves reading and a dream of hers is to start a book club reading everything from great fiction novels to heavy non-fiction theory and philosophy. On a chill night, she also enjoys writing, cooking good food and exploring new music. Otherwise, you will most often find her going to the theatre or trying out a new sport whether it's Kung Fu, boxing or soccer.
