My name is Rachel, I am 31 years old and am a qualified social worker living and working in Scotland, U.K. I have been working in this field since 2015 and I am now looking to have a career break as I want to travel, meet new people, learn new things, improve my languages and generally do something different. I enjoy reading, writing, hiking trips, sewing and yoga. I love history, art and learning about different cultures. I also love food. I am mostly vegetarian at home, but willing to be more flexible when travelling.
Hola! Soy Rachel, tengo 31 anos y soy trabajadora social. En este momento estoy viviendo y trabajando en la ciudad de Edimburgo en Escocia, Reino Unido. He estado trabajando asi desde 2015 y ahora quiero tener un descansco y un cambio. Quiero viajar, encontrar gente nueva, aprender nuevas cosas, mejorar mi espanol y, generalmente, hacer algo diferente. Me gusta leer, escribir, hacer el senderismo, coser, y hacer yoga. Me encanta la historia, el arte y aprender de nuevas culturas. Tambien me encanta la comida! En casa, soy vegetariana, pero podria ser un poco mas flexible en viajar.

I am a native speaker of English. I speak Spanish to an intermediate level and am really keen to immerse myself in this and improve. I speak a small amount of French and German which I would be open to learning more of in the future.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have experience working in social work and social care settings in the UK. I have worked mostly in adult settings, including in hospitals, with older people, with adults with mental health problems, and in drug and alcohol addiction services.
I have previously worked as a volunteer at a homeless shelter and at a community meal, where I was involved in cooking meals and being a friendly face for those coming in.
I also have experience using technology such as Outlook and social media, and ran a Twitter account for an event hosted by a former employer.
I have some experience with gardening and growing fruit and vegetables. this is something I would like to do more of.
I believe I am generally enthusiastic, keen to work hard and to learn.
