I am currently on a gap year and am looking to experience new cultures, learn new skills and meet like-minded people! I have a keen interest in languages and I would love to further improve them and learn new ones also.

One of my top priorities in my gap year is to improve my language skills. I have been extremely passionate about learning languages since I begun secondary schools. I was one of 5 students in my year group who chose to study two foreign languages rather than just one. I have attended language exchanges in both the west of Ireland and in Germany. I want to continue practicing my languages but I'm also keen to learn new languages.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have excellent communication skills and I'm a very sociable person. This is extremely beneficial when working in a group setting.
Hand in hand with that, I have good leadership skills and will competently lead a group when necessary.
I have improved my problem solving skills this year with my experience travelling. I have realised my ability to stay calm in stressful times and find solutions.
I am an adaptable person, another skill learnt while travelling. I can adapt in any environment I am placed in and I make the best of my situation.

I could play card games for hours. My personal favourites are dutch, crazy eights and poker.
I am a huge rock fan and love going to gigs. I have been listening to Pink Floyd non-stop for about six months. I don't play an instrument, though I would love to get the opportunity to.
I am interested in left politics and I am a member of the Socialist Party in Ireland. I've helped to organise protests in the past and I have experience leafleting and discussing current affairs with like-minded individuals.
I love to play basketball and tennis when I have the time. I also adore hiking (and occasionally running).
