Description

Hey,
we are Luisa and Leon, married, both 22 years old and from Germany.

We both study to become teachers, and as I (Luisa) have to spend some time abroad for my subject English, we want to visit Ireland this summer. I didn't want to do a classic semester abroad or an internship because I want to experience more.

We love animals, especially dogs, and of course, as future teachers, we like working with children.
It has been my (Luisa) dream since I was little to spend my summer holidays on a farm, and thanks to Workaway I can actually have this experience.

We are friendly and helpful persons and look forward to gain new experiences and learn new skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Leon and I are experienced with dogs as we both grew up with them and even today many family members have dogs which we regularly see and babysit.

We also come into regular contact with young children (both unter the age of five) through our niece and Luisa's cousin. During school we have tutored many students from different age groups in various subjects.

Our parents live in a house with a large garden and do all the chores themselves, including the manual ones. We often assist them and am therefore familiar with a wide variety of tasks. Leon especially is very talented regarding a wide variety of tasks.

Right now we are helping friends who are renovating an old house and therefore gain experience in both tearing down and building up a house.

We, particularly Leon, are interested in plants. As we live in an apartment without a garden or balcony, we have a huge variety of indoor plants, that Leon carefully cherishes.

Language
Luisa:
My mother tongue is German, I speak English fluently, have good knowledge of Latin and basic knowledge of Spanish (out of practice).

Leon:
My mother tongue is German and I want to improve my English, as a stopped talking regularly when I left school.

Autres infos...

I (Luisa) went to Ireland for 7 weeks last summer (2022).
The first half of my stay wasn't that good, as the host just used me and the other Workaways as cheap working forces.
But the second family made me feel like a part of their family and it was great! I hope I will find a host where Leon and I can make a similar, positive experience!
