Hey! My name is Florencia and I’m currently planning a huge volunteering journey in the southeast part of Asia :) Let me tell you some facts about me! I'm 19 and when I was 17 years old (2022), I had the chance to do an exchange semester in Thailand and completely fell in love with the culture. During my 6-month stay in Maha Sarakham, Thailand, I learned a lot of beautiful things and gained life experience as well. Thailand taught me many things I’ll never forget, and I just can’t be more grateful for that experience! Because of that, I started being really interested in giving something in return, so volunteering, for me, is a way to show thanks to the world, for its existence, and create a better place for all of us. I also had a volunteer experience during my stay at Maha Sarakham because my host mom was a school teacher. During my school-break, I had the chance to teach my native language (Spanish) and became really interested in teaching people.

During my last volunteering experience, I assisted a Montessori government school in Chiang Mai. Where, In addition to teaching English and elaborated activities with the students, I created English Montessori materials, produced a sponsor video, managed social media, and shared my extensive experiences with the methodology.

I consider myself a really responsible person who will always do the best I can, and creative because I'm constantly thinking about new ideas to improve things. I also love animals and I’ve been vegetarian since 2020. But don’t worry, I can cook not-so-elaborate meals and sweets. I’m interested in learning about eco-sustainable farming and many other topics. Honestly, I haven’t find my biggest passion yet. That’s why I decided that this is my perfect time to volunteer. I think I will learn a lot and gain experience before going to university, so later on I’ll be 100% sure about what to study since I’m an undecided soul who thinks that in this world there is a lot of things we must try and do at least once. :)

I’m a tolerant person and friendly. Your first impression of myself could be I’m shy, but then you’ll get to know my outgoing personality. My friends usually describes me as an authentic person because of the way I express myself, but they also think I'm good at making them feel comfortable.

I love music so It won't be a problem for me If you want to show me your favorites musicians haha. Sorry if I sing in the shower, or want to do a long distance walking. And don't be surprised If I want to try new things to eat :) I'd be prepared for making new friends and studying new languages!

During my volunteering times I plan to record and share my journey on my social media platforms such as Instagram (1.4k followers) and TikTok (15k followers), to inspire new people to try this kind of adventure. However, I will not record anything that the host doesn’t allow.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Teaching: Experience with the Montessori method, teaching English & Spanish.
- Animal care: Proficient in caring for dogs and cats, including walking, feeding, and cleaning.
-Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills as a course president, organizing events, managing tasks, and problem-solving.
-Organizational skills: Ability to organize sales, events, and manage responsibilities effectively.
-Social media management: Proficient in managing social media accounts and pages, including content creation and engagement. I used to have over 16k followers on Tiktok.
-Video and photo editing: Capable of editing videos and photos for various purposes, such as educational content or promotional material.
