Hi! My name is Daniel, I come from Czechia and I just finished my Master's studies in Sweden. In the summer of 2024 I would like to travel and do a couple of workaways, before I start a job in my field eventually.

I try to be open to everything! I like meeting new people, trying new food and different sports and experiences, I also love learning new languages, currently I am learning Swedish and a little bit of Norwegian. From sports I love hiking in the mountains, cycling in the summer, tennis.. Recently I've done a lot of bouldering and going to the gym. I would say I really like people and I need to be social, but sometimes I also need to recharge my batteries by just playing the guitar and singing or reading books alone.

I think I am a pretty chill and open-minded person and can adapt well to various environments and people and I also like to learn new manual skills and experience new things.

I am here mostly to get to know new countries from a non-tourist perspective and also to learn new interesting skills for life and make friends. I have been to Norway through Workaway in the summer for one month, and I also lived for a year in Sweden and these were really perfect experiences, that's why I decided to travel again for and see more of Scandinavia.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

In my last Workaway, I did a lot of various tasks, like helping out on a farm, putting up
wooden cladding on their cabin, splitting wood, helping with cooking and general maintenance and tidying in-house and driving.

I have most experience in my field of study, railway design, as I worked for a project company that prepares transportation projects in czech republic. I used to work with AutoCAD, Excel and generally am able to orientate myself in big projects and work with technology.

In the past I also worked part-time in a warehouse, in a bar, I used to teach children play guitar.

I am looking forward to learn new skills and I'm not afraid of physical work. I would say that I am a quick learner.
