On my way to El Calafate and El Chaltén at the moment. After that I would love to go back to Chile to Lago General Carrera
Description
Hi :)
I'm Julia, 22 years old and from Germany. In october I finished university. Now I'm gonna do a gap year in Chile all on my own. Chile has always been my dream destination since ninth grade, when I had to give a report about this country in geography. In a week my journey starts. I will be learning spanish in a school in Santiago de Chile for one month. I'm a complete beginner. Afterwards I like to travel around, get to know the country and other people. For my trip I'm searching for hostels, farms etc. where I can work and get some food and a place to sleep. Furthermore I look for another person who wants to travel with me.
While my studies I worked in a reception on a campsite for almost four years now. In my freetime I do a lot of sports, reading and watching series or movies while doing creative things like drawing or stitching.
I'm an open and honest woman. In bigger groups I'm more of an introvert but in smaller groups or with just one I talk much about interests, tell stories and connect with the other person.Centres d’intérêt

I want to travel to another country to define my english skills and learn spanish. Therefore I will attend spanish classes in Santiago de Chile for one month and after that get better in speaking by living with the local people. I'm also interested to learn some phrases in other languages next to english and spanish. In school I learned france for five years but stopped learning since then. I wouldn't bother to refresh some of the vocabulary.Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

Alongside my studies and school I worked in a reception on a campsite in my hometown. There I did Check-In and Check-Outs, informing and advising guests about activities and attractions in the region and did other front-office-duties. I also served our customers in our little supermarket.
I am motivated and reliable when doing tasks, efficient and open-minded. I'm good on solving tasks on my own but also in a team.
I'm not afraid of hard or dirty work. In the past I helped a lot in my grandma's big garden. Cutting bushes and trees. Do some gardening etc.
I'm good with kids. In my job on the campsite I sometimes helped in the children's entertainment where we did (sports) games, creative work or dance evenings.Âge

Autres infos...
In my freetime I'm doing figure skating and play the flute. Also I love to do some creative things like drawing and two weeks ago I learned stitching by myself. Moreover I like hiking and climbing (I would like to get better at bouldering, but my arms are too weak)
Sustainability is really important to me. At home I care about recycling our trash and avoid plastic as well as don't wasting food. In Chile I would like to do this too and furthermore do some trash collecting on beaches or in the parks and raise awareness fpr this topic. Little steps help our environment too.Informations complémentaires

It's a lovely space, super clean and Gustavo, the owner, is always available for yourself or his guests.
I stayed there for one week. The working schedule is easy and fair. I worked around four days, five hours each. We also had the possibility to change up our working schedules to do a hiking trip.
