Hi, I'm Camilla, I'm 26 years old and I'm an Italian doctor.
Before settling down in one place (maybe Italy, maybe not) I decided to take some time off to follow the desire of traveling.

I'm a very curious person and I love to learn about other cultures, food, music and everything that comes with it.
Talking while listening to some good music and drinking a beer is my perfect kind of night!

I really enjoy traveling with workaway mainly for three reasons. First of all you get to know the true side of a country, meeting locals, getting to know their culture and how they enjoy life. Since every place I travel to gives me so much in terms of experiences and self-knowledge, the second reason is to give something back to the wonderful communities that host me.
Last but not least, I like traveling with workaway because in every place you get to learn different skills that could always be helpful both in the journey and in life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I love photography, especially portraits and street photography, and always have (at least) one camera with me 📸
I like cooking and I draw and paint as hobbies since I was 13 years old.
Recently I also started to take singing lessons, but I definitely need to improve in that 😂

About languages, I'm fluent in English, learnt in the United States where I lived for one year in high school, I'm fluent in Spanish, learnt in school and in the Canary Islands while volunteering with workaway, and I'm a beginner in Portuguese, since I studied in Portugal for six months in university.

Other than the medical skills that I developed with my studies and with my job, during university I've done many other jobs.

For the past seven years I worked in a society for young doctor's formation, where I started as a logical reasoning teacher. With time I coordinated different sections and different teams for the same society and I became a “teacher for the teachers”. With them, I learnt the art of teaching, how to lead a team and to try to create the best atmosphere possible between all the people involved.

Then, I've worked for 3 years in a gym as receptionist and acrobatic teacher, where I learnt how to behave with clients/guests and how to manage unexpected events.

After university, I spent 4 months volunteering in a hostel in Tenerife, Spain, working both in reception and cleaning shifts, and last year I volunteered in an animal shelter in the Philippines, while traveling around Asia! No need to say that both of them have been some incredible experiences, and I can’t wait to have more!
