Update 2/24
After my three year journeyman through Portugal and Central America I jumped to the other side of the world to explore SEA and now I'm coming with my girlfriend to New Zealand.Ma prochaine destination :
New Zealand - du Mar 2024 au Mar 2025 Voir toutDescription
Hey there!
I’m Bobby. Long story short I love building and music.
At the moment I'm travelling together with my girlfriend around South East Asia and soon we're coming together to New Zealand.
I learned joinery back in Berlin and have been exploring different kinds of woodwork the last three years of travelling through Europe and Central America. The longest I stayed in Costa Rica where they’re building a huge wooden cargo ship which was amazing. Great people around there and many new skills to learn.
During European summer I went back home to Germany to save up some money again and chase my girlfriend around Asia. Right now we're in Cambodia and heading towards New Zealand in a few weeks.
I would love to try new things as well, particularly with animals or farm-related skills. My dream is to one day have my own home with a big garden and animals- so anything that brings me in this direction is much appreciated!
My girlfriend Van has the same dream and would love to extend her current knowledge of gardening, house care, building and working with children. She is an Environmental Studies major,
artist, philosophical thinker, yoga teacher and Forest Therapy Guide. She's travelled all over the world from a young age, loves to tell her crazy stories and continue learning. She's a quick learner and a kind soul.Centres d’intérêt

During my apprenticeship I built, repaired and fixed pretty much everything that’s in a house. I built and installed doors, windows, kitchens, floors and waredrobes. Beside that I did some furniture and a treasure chest as my masterpiece for my final exam.
After school a friend and me were in Australia for one year where we got a lot of HelpX experience. The most exiting one was on a dairy farm where we had to milk and carry about 180 cows, another good one was with a family that lives of grid where they raise up their home.
So a lot of casual work as painting, pulling up walls and gardening were to do.
I have to be honest, I just can’t clean windows it’s a mess.
The year in Portugal I built a tiny house, a Pizza Bar, kitchens, pulled up a roof on a farm house and did some yoga decks.
In Costa Rica I was helping on a wooden cargo ship and spend a long time with the planking team and left many finger prints on the boat.
So far I didn’t find ,,my thing” that’s why I try to do as much as possible and to improve my knowledge.
Help me to get some more :)Âge

Autres infos...
I’m really into all kinds of sports.
Since my youth I ride Bmx, in Berlin I discovered climbing and the ping pong tables in my neighbourhood were a good place to compete your friends.
I enjoyed fishing trips with my dad to Norway and around Germany. When there is no fish I really love to jump from anywhere into water, I think that's my happy place.
My mom is really into Yoga, so whenever I’m home we go for some sessions together and meanwhile I adapted it into my morning routine because boatbuilding can be really physical! Also Van is a certified Yoga teacher so you often see us stretching together.
Ah and I love music, Berlin sucked me into the world of extraordinary good Techno but I have stuff on my phone for any situation.
Playing classic while writing these lines for example.Informations complémentaires

First of all, we are going to miss you as a friend and not as a volunteer in workaway! We’ve worked together for a long time now, joining several projects, and I have to say; accurate and neat work only 😊. I would have you here permanently if you wouldn’t have decided on moving on to… read more
He is the breakfast master and a walking jukebox with tons of different genres in his pocket.
It was great having him around and we miss him already.
Thanks for joining our crew, Robert ;p and see you very very soon? Xx
I already miss your crazy dutch slang and at the bonfire to hang.
It was my first Workaway stop with enough wood to chop, all day good music, no Hip Hop.
Work doesn’t feel like work when it’s fun. Even when Giel chased me with his Gun.
But don’t worry guys you will beat him at exploding kittens in an one-on-one.
See… read more
