my name is Barbara. By growing up in the Austrian mountains as daughter of craftsman (carpenter, blacksmith, shoemaker, beekeeper) I had the privilege to gather experience in our workshops and surrounding nature. My curiosity for nature, people, landscapes, cultures, and many other things never left me.

I am 30 years old, trained architect (University of Liechtenstein) with a background / education in carpentry.

From March 2023 until December 2023 I have been living and working in various places of Japan. After all this wonderful encounters my plan for 2024 is to keep focusing on old traditional japanese homes (kominka) their construction and embedded japanese craft and connection to nature/people. I will be back in Japan around end of summer beginning of autumn with a work and holiday visa.

I would describe myself as an open minded person carrying a lot of curiosity for our world.It would be a joy to meet you, share knowledge, ideas and memorable times with many smiles and stories to tell. I am looking forward to share, exchange, learn and support you.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I do not mind getting my hands dirty.

My crafmanship grew from a wonderful father (blacksmith and beekeeper) and grandfather (carpenter, shoemaker and beekeeper). From early childhood I supported my grandpa with work around our house, his renovation projects, planting (trees, beans,...) and work with our bees. I alway's loved it and learned a lot by working with him.

Therefore, I’m open to do all different kinds of work and motivated to learn as many new things as possible!
