Hi my name is Alex, I am 24 years old and originally from Germany.

I'm very passionate about the outdoors, filmmaking, photography, art, and music and I love traveling, learning new things, and meeting new people.

The things that make me most happy are my friends and family as well as making art, exploring new places and making unforgettable memories with other people. Personally, I feel like nothing beats the feeling of spending long summer nights with your friends, hiking through beautiful places, or going on adventures with people that you just met.

I would love to learn more Spanish. I had Spanish lessons in my first year in university (which is 4 years ago), but I sadly haven't spoken the language since and have forgotten a lot. German is my native language, so I can teach you if you're interested.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Gardening
My grandparents have a huge garden where I help out every week. I know how to use a lawnmower, jigsaw, hedge trimmer, motor saw, or hack saw. I can also cut and stack firewood, plant flowers/vegetables/etc. or do things like weeding or sweeping. I don't mind getting my hands or clothes dirty, and working outside makes me happy.

Forestry & controlled burns
During a previous workaway opportunity, I learned which trees can/should be cut down and how to do that. I also learned about controlled burns in the forest and participated in a few of them (both small and bigger ones with the local fire department).

Basic carpentry & building
I have knowledge in building basic things from wood and metal. For example, I built garden beds, shelves, doors, and well lids before. I honestly love building things and am always down to learn new things in this field.

Housekeeping
I live mostly by myself so I am used to doing laundry, cleaning, cooking, and doing whatever is necessary around the house. I can also help out with wall painting (or even painting murals since I'm good at arts).

Other skills
I am a business student and have been working in the marketing department of an international company. If help should be needed, I can help with marketing, basic financial planning (with Excel), customer service, or even graphic design. I also know how to film and edit videos (I studied filmmaking for 4 months and produced 4 brand films), and I'm good at photography (mostly hobby photography but I've been hired for 2 weddings).

I'm open and motivated to learn new things and I'm always happy if I can help with my own skills. At first, I'm sometimes a bit shy but I love being around people and working in a team. I'm also very creative, adventurous, easy-going, and (from what my friends and coworkers have told me) fun to be around.

I also love playing Volleyball, so I'm always down for some practice or a friendly match.
