I'm here to meet likeminded people, learn from them and share what I know. Also, I'm learning german right now and I'm eager to improve by teaching some french or english in return.

Hi ! I'm Thomas, I'm 27 and I come from France. I did my first two workaways with a friend in good old year 2019, and because it's a beautiful and vivid memory for me, I since dreamed of doing some more. Finally the time came and I just did two at the end of 2023. Now, I just hope to continue the journey !

Nothing makes me more happy than using this opportunity to make real progress in german, but in general I'm also looking to learn new skills while sharing and helping at the same time, so to be honest I'm really open about the place, the activities and the work I would end up with.

I did a lot of very different things in my life. From the pure intellectual work of the university (I studied sociology and history), to being the delivery guy of a sushi restaurant, while stopping by to work at the reception of a big museum. So if I'm sure I can be helpful somewhere, it's only fair to say I'm far from knowing everything, and that's why I'm motivated.

Also, I have quite a lot of hobbies, like art (from digital to drawing and photography), music (I'm in love with techno and electronic music in general), food (I really need to improve my cooking skills). I can be really nerdy about some subjects, like everything related to weather and climate, space or geography (just to mention a few). There is things I want to focus more in the near future, like writing and worldbuilding, or gardening.

I'm currently actively learning german and I would love to make my workaway experiences contribute to that entreprise. I can in return teach french (my native language) and english with pleasure ! I'm also deeply interested in learning irish (gaeilge) for personal reasons and to help preserve this language. And I would like to learn some russian along the way too.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

After years studying at the university, I think I have some knowledge and intellectual skills which can be useful, and which I would love to share alongside everything I know related to my hobbies.

I also did multiple different jobs. I worked in a grocery store (regarding a charity project), at the reception of a big museum (I would love to do that in an hostel now I think of it), for exemple I was also a delivery guy for some time (I have a driving license maybe that can be useful too).

But, to be honest, I would aswell very much like to do something I know nothing or little about. We all have to start something before mastering it and I think that's also the point of the experience. Oh and I almost forgot to say I love cats, I lived most of my life with some, having one around always makes me happy !
