Hi! My name is Sofia, I’m 19. I love traveling, photography and filmmaking. I am starting my freshman year of college in the US this september, I will be a Film and TV Production Major.

I have traveled a lot around the world, I've been to North America, visited many European countries, and lived in Kenya as a child. I love meeting new people, learning about new cultures, and sharing my own experiences with others.

I’m open-minded, friendly, responsible, and hardworking. I love good conversation about literature, religion, or art, as well as a good adventure once in a while.
I am also calm, quiet, clean and always do my best to respect other peoples' privacy.

As a volunteer, I worked at a camping village in Italy. I helped prepare the camping for season: cleaned the houses, raked and weeded the garden, cleared out and prepared the common spaces like playgrounds for use.

I am a quick learner and always open to new experiences and learning new skills. I love reading classic literature and watching movies (ofc).

I have been an English language tutor for children and teenagers for several years now. I mostly work with pronounciation, phonetics, vocabulary and less with grammar or linguistics. I'm bilingual (English and Russian) but I also speak French (B2). I would love to get more experience with speaking French during my travels. I can also teach you English, Russian, and some French.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am the eldest child in a family with five children, so I am good with kids. Everything from feeding to playing to putting to sleep, calming down, changing, going for walks, doing homework, etc. Babies, toddlers, older children and tweens, because I've been there to help with every one of my brothers when they were growing up (and I still am, as they are all younger than 15 at the moment).

I am also not bad with tutoring, especially in English, because I am bilingual (Russian and English) and have been side hustling as an English tutor for children and teenagers for a couple years now.

I am pretty good at gardening (planting, weeding, mowing, pruning, etc) because I've spent every summer of my life at my grandparents' countryhouse helping out with growing vegetables, berries, flowers, and picking wildberries and mushrooms.
I have some beekeeping skills because my father owns bees and we take care of them regularly with my family.
I can also do inside and outside painting, cleaning, DIY tasks, cooking (especially delicious Russian traditional meals).
I am a quick learner and ready to get my hands dirty.

I am eager to volunteer at community projects, farms, family homes, and hostels.

I have also been working as a photographer and videographer for several years, so I can both film and photograph, as well as edit in Lightroom and DaVinci Resolve. I would love to help out with setting up personal websites or social media for projects.

I am an active and sporty person (I've done aerial gymnastics, acrobatics, horse riding, and fencing), enjoy hiking, swimming, but also able to do physically tasking work.

One of my main dreams is to learn as much as possible about sailing and sailboats. I love sailing.

I read a lot and enjoy conversations on different topics with people of diverse viewpoints and backgrounds.
