  • Description

Greetings from Southern California! I'm a very laid back single, 44 year old American woman with decades of experience in restaurants and healthcare. I was just getting ready to go back to school to finish a masters in public health when Covid came to town. Fine timing eh’? Because of Covid my studying Is now 100% online, for at least the next 18 months.
    I
For the last several years my travels have landed me as a bartender/server in restaurants in Yellowstone National Park for 6 months, Big Sky Montana ski resort, Sun Vally Idaho, rural Vermont, Idaho Falls ID, Driggs, Idaho, Tucson, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, New York, NOLA, SLC, Colorado....to name a few. I’ve kept a foot in door of the restaurant industry since 1993. I'm a hard worker, good cook with exceptional people skills. I’ve worked in places I wouldn’t let my dog eat, up to a somewhat secluded ski resort in the Sawtooth mountains who hosts a billionaire/oligarch summit in July. In my capacity as a healthcare professional I’ve worked in ophthalmology practices for the stars in Beverly Hills, then fighter pilots with the Navy in San Diego, a ritzy practice two blocks from the White House, 6 month contract in New Orleans post katrina putting an ophthalmology department together.

I'm a warm and open person who has finally learned to love being alone and I do! As a house guest, I'm clean, quiet, a non smoker, teetotaler and avid yogi, love to hike and climb, always a “front row joe” and disgustingly cheerful in the morning.

As I close this message in the background there is the funeral for another unarmed black man murdered by the cops on the news. I gotta get out of here for a bit and “hit the reset button”. I know the best way to “snap out of it” is to help others. So help me help you!

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm a good cook/server/bartender, I can provide childcare, organizing and running a household, (helped out several Air B&B’s) shopping/errands. I can teach you sign language with your infant, it really unlocks a world of communication before being able to speak. I can show you how to make skincare products, cosmetic tattooing, I donate this service here by covering scars for Veterans and abused women, NOT delicate artistry however; I did my own brows and they are very popular over here to the tune of 400-500 dollars. I go the extra mile because it makes ME happy and grateful for every opportunity.
I’d love helping a community theatre or local choir. My father was a theater department head for a university, my mother is a bestselling author in her genre I grew up on stage but these days, I prefer production over performance. Half my brain is art, the other medicine. I want to marry the two and “pitch” a writing project to a producer in the form of a drama series Americans can see themselves in about healthcare to fully understand the implications effecting all of us. I’ve lived in 17 states. I get it. It’s just short of impossible to create anything in this environment. (The environment being America)
If language practice is what you are seeking, learn from a good storyteller. Lucky for you, my life is stranger than fiction and makes for good conversation. So if my offer and skills are in line with your needs. I’m happy to provide several referrals from doctors/practitioners/workaway hosts/restaurant managers and chefs going back 20 years.
I do hope you will inquire, I’m the least represented demographic as a workawayer, but being 20 years older on average just means I’m a better cook with a lot more stories to tell and let’s face it, single moms know how to get $#@T done!
    Cheers!
    Sarah

  • Autres infos...

On the subject of C19. With the exception of flights I have Jedi level social distancing skills, I only leave the house for fitness and food and more than willing to abide by any and every protocol you put in place. I left America because I take Covid seriously and I have a weird form of anemia which makes me as high risk as someone on chemo. I told my doctor it’s a plane ride or padded walls
