Hiya!

My names Rosie, I'm an Aussie who has been living in the UK for the last year doing a Gender Studies degree. Now finished I'm travelling and am itching to get back into nature and the sun.

I love hiking and camping, and have a soft spot for gardening! I'm an experienced pet sitter, and although I have minimal experience with farm animals I'm very keen to learn.

Having lived in Portugal for a while pre-COVID I've been dreaming of coming back for years, getting my Portuguese back up to scratch and generally being back in the beautiful countryside.

I'm an open, friendly and respectful person who loves a chat that goes beyond the "how're you doing". I've always lived with an array of housemates and am hoping to get to know whoever I'm working away with.

I'm happy to help you practice your english and have experience tutoring! I have formally learnt units 1 & 2 Portuguese but have lost most of the language since being away from Portugal. I'm really keen to learn from and practice with others who are keen to work on their language skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a keen learner, am driven and get a real kick out of following a task through to completion. I like working with my hands and have a mind for problem solving. I'm excited to learn from you and am always happy to share my knowledge with others when theres something I can provide.

I have experience working in food trucks and camp kitchens and I love, love LOVE cooking for friends and family. In particular I have extensive knowledge of cooking vegetarian and gluten free meals at home but am comfortable giving most cuisines and recipes a crack!

I'm a keen gardener with lots of experience with small scale veggie gardens and a bit of experience with natural restoration work.

I have 3 years of petsitting experience and love animals.

I have a masters degree and undergraduate degree in the social sciences, particularly in gender studies (while perhaps not the most practical skill it does make me an accepting person and I'm always happy to help anyone working on their English skills).
