Description

Hello! I'm Morgan from beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada.
I’m a writer, student, and artist, but I’m interested in everything. From homesteading & gardening to film & photography - I love learning. I am currently studying sustainable textile design in Norway.

Slow travel is my favourite kind of travel, which is why I’m most interested in a Workaway experience. I value experiencing a place thoroughly, building a routine, and feeling like I’m contributing to the community I’m inhabiting.

I have well-rounded experience in many fields; service industry, farming, work with children and in even bookkeeping.

I feel my true self when I’m exploring outside, but I also love to create things and find beauty indoors.

I enjoy music, reading, surfing, yoga, cooking delicious foods, meeting new people and trying new things. I would love to meet you and share stories, ideas, and energy.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

-gardening/ some landscaping
-computer & technology skills
-spent the last spring/summer as a Treeplanter in Northern British Columbia, as well as doing other forestry preservation work
-service work in natural food and organic small business in Sydney, Australia, distributing produce to the local community. & worked in vegetable wholesale in the warehouse packing and managing orders.
-managed cafe's & coffee shops, here on Vancouver Island as well as in Melbourne, Australia.
-2 years experience doing an 'energy exchange' program with Moksha Yoga (similar concept to Workaway)
-spent the last year running a monthly Women’s group, creating a place for women to come together, connect and enjoy a cup of tea and conversation. It has been the most rewarding experience of my life so far.
-self taught design study, photography and self publishing of my writing work
-work with ceramics
