Ciao,

My name is Marie and I have recently moved out of the UK after studying and then working there for a few years as a psychotherapist. I’m originally from Prague but currently find myself roaming around and finding my footing through travelling and working.

In January I started learning Italian (just by myself which means it is not amazing but for basic things and basic conversations I can get by!) as I knew I’d be travelling through the country for 2 months this summer. I have indeed done that and fell in love with it even more, and now am not able to stay away!!

After years of being an introvert with passions that mostly comprised of art and a LOT of time spent reading, I have started rock climbing. This has brought me to frequent contact with nature and there was no turning back for me, making me more active and infused with now almost a vital need to be walking/hiking and exploring the outdoors as often as possible. I love to cook and to learn about gastronomy, have a good nose for wine even if I lack in the knowledge of it but I’m very curious and excited to know more and try out the things that make Italian culture so unique and amazing :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked in hospitality for more than 10 years and am very skilled in housework, and generally just taking care of running a house/flat. I've lived in houses with gardens and therefore do have basic gardening skills too, on top of which I have just spent about two weeks during my travels working with my friends in Souther Italy on their permaculture garden and land with animals. I was able to experience this setting and see whether the type of work required was something I was able to sustain as well as if it is something that fits me. In fact, I have found myself connected to that lifestyle and my passion for sustainability and self-sufficient living thrived in such an environment.

When it comes to working and learning new skills, think I’m very hardworking and passionate about the work that I do which I could bring into many of the workaway projects that I encountered here and would love to participate in.
