Description

We are a couple keen on travelling and trying new things. We have travelled quite a bit especially around Europe but there is always so much more to experience. We lived in Scotland, England, Ireland, Finland, Norway, Hungary and Bulgaria. We've also visited many places in Italy, Spain, Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic. Outside of Europe we've been to New Zealand which we would love to go back to one day, Thailand and also visited the Carribean and America for shorter times.

After spending 8 years working and having only limited travel time we decided to travel for a while. We've been living away from home for a bit over 2 years now. Krista is an engineer with special interest in environmental issues (sustainability, climate change, renewable energy, CSR). Robert's background is in Information Technology, specialising in data analysis and general problem solving. We also both have experience in the tourism/hospitality industry and online marketing.

We had been dreaming of long term travel for years and decided we need to get out there and experience something different. We tried workaway a few years ago and really enjoyed it, we are keen to have a similar experience and hopefully meet some great people. We're up to trying new different things and will give anything our full commitment and energy. We are keen to learn new things to help out and tend to be quite fast learners.

We are fit, love to be active and are up for any kind of activity, but we also enjoy quiet time indoors trying out some new IT project, writing or reading a good book. We prefer to be in beautiful, natural environments.
We love dogs and are very keen to work with horses and other animals. In a nutshell we would describe ourselves as easy going but hard working individuals who want to experience what life has to offer.

I am creative and enjoy a good crafts or interior design project. I have taken a keen interest in DIY in the past few years and am always looking for new things to try to add to my skills, so if I do not know how to do it I'm keen to look it up and learn how to do it. I love drawing, I find it very relaxing, although I never took any classes in this regard and would like to pursue this in the near future.

I feel at peace when I am surrounded by nature. I enjoy any kind of physical activity hiking, walking, running, kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling, kettle bells, cross fit, swimming. Being fit and healthy is an integral part of my life.

I love to read about science, technology and current affairs, and am always eager to learn or try something new. When I take an interest in something I will spend hours researching and practicing it. I'm into high intensity fitness activities (boxing, muay thai, kettlebells, cross-fit) and try to keep a healthy lifestyle even while moving around. I also enjoy long walks out in nature.
