Hi I'm Lauren and since I was young I have dreamed of travelling the world, and not just as a sight seeing tourist but as someone who travels to know the world, to know the people and places within it, to feel the energy of a place and understand a little more about it rather than merely quickly passing through.

I'm intently curious, with a sharp and quick mind, always asking questions, always wanting to know how things work and why things are the way that they are. I have a thirst for knowledge and love to have deep discussions and conversations about the world, travel, philosophy, other cultures, personal development, spirituality, love, life and relationships and all the mysteries of the Universe. I desire to connect deeply and authentically with people and to understand who they are and how they see the world, connecting heart to heart so that we can move through the world in a compassionate and open hearted way with one another.

I'm naturally warm and caring in my nature, sensitive and intuitive with a big heart. I'm quick on my feet and agile in spirit and mind, being able to adapt to all sorts of situations and make the best of them. If you need someone to take initiative, find solutions and organise things then I'm your woman. I also love to laugh and joke and have an endearing playful side to me that delights in discovering anything new within the world around me.

I come from a family of travellers and have always had a keen interest in other cultures and countries. I was an exchange student in France 10 years ago after I finished school in Australia and it was the best thing that I ever did. I travelled on and off after that but got stuck in a job and a relationship that recently ended after 8 years. I have packed up my whole life in Australia and let go of everything I know to buy a one way ticket and go and travel the world, a dream that I have held in my heart for more than a decade which I am now finally realising.

My travels have become a personal and spiritual pilgrimage of sorts as I seek to know myself deeper, to carve out my own path in the world and begin to create a life that resonates with my soul instead of fitting myself into the box of other people's or society's expectations.

At the moment I am craving a connection with nature and animals, they soothe me and bring me back home to myself. I want to connect more deeply with the natural world and find a calmer, quieter rhythm to life. I spent 8 years as a graphic designer sitting at a desk behind a computer and now I am feeling a strong pull to find a different path in life that is more aligned with the Earth, nature and my own natural rhythms.

I also love to dance, to create, to learn anything new, to experience different ways of life from around the world and to immerse myself in any new culture I find myself in, whether that is the culture of a country or the personal culture of an individual and their family.

My native language is English, spoken with an Aussie accent! I also speak quite a good level of French, having lived in France for 12 months as an exchange student and then spending 8 years in a relationship with a Frenchman. My vocabulary falls short depending on the depth of the subject but for everyday French I have a fairly fluent level.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Professional Experience:
I have 8 years experience in graphic design and branding/brand strategy and can do anything from a simple logo design to the conception, implementation and management of a high level advertising campaign or brand development.

Other skills:
I was recently the Production Assistant for a friend who was filming a documentary and stepped into the role with no professional experience however ran the show like a boss and provided an indispensable skillset that enabled the week of filming to run smoothly. I have extremely keen organisational skills and would make a dream Personal Assistant if that sort of skillset is what you need. Tell me what's required and I'll pick it up in a flash. I am the queen of taking initiative and having my eye across all and every situation and potential situation that may come into play and can juggle many balls at once while rarely letting one fall (we're all human!).

I've got excellent communication skills in terms of managing other people and have the ability to connect with people and make them feel comfortable and also inspired to come together as a team to create something great together.

I love to get outside and go for hikes and walks. I've recently started going to the gym and doing some resistance training has been incredible for healing some aches and pains in my body so I'm always up for some sort of sport, yoga, fitness etc.

I love love love to read and discuss literature, language, the nature of the human spirit, what drives us to do the things that we do, how the mind works and feel the depths and emotions of other's stories. In another life I may have been a psychologist.

I'm currently studying a course from a shamanic lineage called the Sweet Medicine Sundance Path and am interested in all sorts of alternative healing modalities and spiritual practices.

I dance salsa and bachata and am always keen to learn any new styles of dance!
