Hi, this is Laia! :)

After doing my first workaway experience last summer and discovering it was my way of life, I decided to quit my job temporarily and start a long journey around Central and South America next year (from March 2023 on).

In the future experience, I am looking to travel around in an ethical, conscious and sustainable friendly way, to meet new people from different cultures and origins, to learn from alternative ways of living, to broaden my horizons, and to feed my soul.

I am an environmentalist working in natural protection and environmental projects for the last 4 years. I also have been a member and leader in the scouting movement for years. Ecofeminism and cooperation are two of my main pillars and I would love to meet new people and projects sharing the same values.

I have experience as a project coordinator and environmental educator. I also have been a volunteer in a small farm and self-sufficient community. I have been living in different countries and I took part in a few international cooperation projects (India, Poland, Uruguay), related to human rights and environmental protection. Above all, I am a curious, motivated, and open-minded person who looks forward to learning from others and doing my bit to help grow other projects around the world!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a lot of experience in team-based jobs and communitarian lifestyle. My professional field is sustainability, I studied a bachelor's degree and a Master's program in it and I have been working in the sector for the last 4 years (since I graduated). I did a lot of rise awareness and environmental education projects (as a coordinator and educator).

I had been a leader of the scouts for many years, spending my summers with children in the mountains and hiking.

I'm good with people, taking care of animals, gardening, and crafting.

But my main ability is my curiosity and enthusiasm to learn and contribute!!
