Description
Hi I'm Karen, I travelled and worked away some years ago (mainly harvesting fruit) and have decided that now is the time to take a break from my regular job and do a little more.
I work with children with additional needs in a school setting and have done so for nearly 20 years. Before this I raised my own children and worked in nurseries with children younger than 4. I love my job, it always feels a privilege to spend time in the company of children. I love their joyful outlook on life and learning alongside them the wonder of the world. Having fun, being happy and sharing experiences is what I enjoy most.
I love the outdoors and nature and enjoy gardening and working outside. I believe in living as sustainably as we can and that it is our responsibility to do so. I am interested in learning new skills and broadening my knowledge of the skills I have, I would welcome opportunities to help out with an eco project of some sort, for example.
I enjoy doing yoga most days as well as cycling, walking, swimming and reading.
I'm looking forward to getting out in the world once more and meeting interesting and lovely people.
