Hi there!

We are Hendrik and Julia, a down to earth, Dutch, enthusiastic, happy, nature loving couple. Together we are eager to get out of the Netherlands for a while and explore before Hendrik embarks on his career shift to become a teacher coming September! As I, Julia, am currently working for a start up in tech, I have to sit behind a computer most days. But don't be fooled, it's hard to sit still all day so I love to let loose and run around (literally), work in our tiny garden, hike (can you call it hiking in the Netherlands?) or work on 1 of my (too) many hobbies. I enjoy and thrive on challenges and would love to learn more languages. You will get two for 1 by letting us stay with you and I believe Hendrik and I are a great team. I have a very strong can-do mentality but sometimes forget to think before I start, while Hendrik can structure the plan and make sure everything is thought about. Which is actually one of his secret hobbies, Excel. So if you need help with a running plan or setting up a right crop calendar, he is your guy. Also his experience on farm simulator on the PS5 will definitely come in handy... But all jokes aside, he definitely enjoys to get his hands dirty (as I experienced many times when he ran through the puddle in stead of around it), and cannot wait to do manual work for a few weeks.
Other than that, we would love to see and experience how people live in a more remote area with nature around, as that's something that is hard to find in a dense country like the Netherlands. Some kind of elevation would be nice...

Autres infos...

We both love running and would love to do more trail running whilst being abroad. We also spend our holidays hiking with our backpacks and are sad that the Netherlands does not have more hills (does make running easier though..)
