Description

Hi there! My name is Jordan, I'm 31 and I'm half British / half Canadian. I grew up in the outer suburbs of South London but I'm currently living in Toronto and have been now for about 2/3 years. I live with girlfriend but her parents are coming to stay for the summer from Iran and I have agreed to leave the apartment for their comfort. I'm also going on a meditation retreat and a trip to the UK so I will be gone for most of the summer but I have some time left in Toronto, need a place to stay and thought WorkAway might be the perfect solution. My schedule is very flexible at the moment and I love the idea of using this time to have a cool experience and meet new people.

I have worked as a gardener/landscaper for about five years, receiving qualifications from the Royal Horticultural Society before working as a foreman for a high-end contracting company (one of their contracts were the Royal Palaces). Most of the work with them was in Garden Maintenance but my personal interests are in the practices of organic farming, self sustainability and learning more about general construction. I've also worked as a labourer in the construction industry, I have a basic skills with common tools. I'm not afraid of hard work by any means, very much willing to get stuck in.

My passions are filmmaking and writing but love all art. I also really love animals, especially cats and dogs, and being out in nature. I'm a sociable person and would love to join a cool community if possible. That being said I'm also fine being on my own if that's required.
