Hello, I'm Johanna Metsch and I'm 21 years old. I was born and lived in Ehingen. This is a small town in Baden-Württemberg in the south of Germany. I lived with my parents and my brother in a house in the village. Throughout my life I have had a wide variety of pets. From guinea pigs, to turtles, dogs and cats, sheep, pigs and chickens to rabbits and fish. I have always enjoyed working with animals. I am an emphatic, lively, spontaneous and creative person. In my free time I like to dance, bake and cook, I prefer to be creative.

On 09.10.23 the trip started in Vancouver. Together with my friend Anton, I am doing a work and travel year in Canada. We want to get to know the country and life here. Experience the breathtaking nature and greatness of Canada.
I'm open and looking forward to what's coming.

Anton:

Hello, I am Anton Bogenrieder, I am 22 years old. I was born in Augsburg (Germany), I grew up in a small village called Öpfingen (Germany). I first completed the middle school leaving certificate and then the technical college entrance qualification. After my school days, I started an apprenticeship as a forester and successfully completed it after two years. After that, I worked in forestry and horticulture for a year. I like to be outside in the fresh air and can work physically hard. I have a cat at home and can also deal well with other animals. I like to work in a team and try to support the others as much as possible. In my free time, I play football, like to ride a bike and also like to be sporty. The reason why I wanted to go to Canada is simply nature and the nice people. I started my trip with my girlfriend on 09.10.2023 and want to do a year of work and travel. I am open to new things and look forward to what is to come.

My goal is to speak English fluently at the end of this year. We are able to teach others German. Anton: Mother tongue German and have good knowledge of spoken and written English. I once had Spanish at school, but there isn't too much left of it.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a very committed person and love being able to live out creatively. I like to help in the household, but I also love working outside. I am very happy to take care of animals.

I have completed vocational training as a state-recognized educator. I really enjoy working with children. It gives me great pleasure with the children in learning and growing, watching and supporting them in it. Getting to know the world.
I also enjoy gardening a lot. If you plant something and in the end you have created a plant or a food. In addition, I have since my 15th Year of life with different families.
I am a neat and structured, solution-oriented, helpful and reliable person.

My mother tongue is German and I have learned English since school. In addition, I am very familiar with Word and love to take pictures and make photo albums out of it.
I am very interested in learning new things and expanding my skills.

Anton:
I have completed my training as a forester and can therefore:
-Clutting trees
-Planting trees
-Build high seats
-Operate tractors with winch
-Marking out forests
-Young stock care
-And much more

I also worked in forestry and horticulture for a year and can therefore:
- Pruning of hedges and bushes
-Mowing the lawn
-Paving work
-Drive excavators, wheel loaders and tractors
-Cut out fruit trees
-Special slaps of trees
-Special attachments with a lifting platform
-And much more

I was in a rehabilitation clinic for another year and did a voluntary social year as a sports therapist there. My tasks there were:
-Make appointments
-Accompanying patients
-Patients write a training plan
-Help patients with the correct execution
-And much more

I'm interested in trying new things and developing myself personally

A few more words about us. We have been a couple since May 2021 and like to spend time together. We are open to new things and interested in making the most of our year. We are both very committed and helpful people and interested in learning new things and expanding our horizons.
