Description

Hey, I'm Isaac and I am half German, half Canadian. I recently graduated from school and now, for the first time ever, I have the chance to solo-travel and see more of the world. My goals are to meet new people, experience different cultures and explore exciting places while at the same time helping out wherever I can. Maybe I can even share a bit about my own culture along the way.
Although I don't have much work experience, I'm well-organized, open to learning new things, and committed to doing my best.
I also have a creative side: I enjoy playing the saxophone but my true passion lies in photography. I love taking pictures of people and especially of beautiful landscapes or nature in general. I also edit my own pictures with Adobe Lightroom.
I can't wait to meet you and I'm hopeful that our exchange will be beneficial for both of us. 😀

Education
I completed my primary education in my hometown of Aachen (Germany). Additionally, this summer (2023), I successfully graduated from Einhard-Gymnasium (High School) with an Abitur, with a focus on German and English as my main subjects. Following this gap year, my plan is to pursue studies in psychology.

Work Experience
I've had a couple of jobs and internships that have given me some great experience. I worked briefly as a newspaper deliverer and then spent around six months as a delivery driver for a local sushi restaurant. During my time there, I gained insights into time management, customer service, and even had the chance to assist in the kitchen. Additionally, I had the opportunity to intern as a city planner in Aachen and participate in a computer science course at my local university.

Travel Experience
Being both German and Canadian, I've had the chance to visit Canada multiple times, exploring Ontario and Québec. Apart from that, I've also traveled to various countries in Western Europe and North America with my family and friends. This summer (2023), I'm super excited about an interrail trip with my friends, where we plan to discover Eastern European countries and see a different side of Europe. What's interesting is that I've never gone on solo adventures before, so I'm really excited about the experiences I hope to have through this website. Solo travel opens up opportunities to meet new people and dive into different cultures all around the world.
