Hi! I am Inès, I am 24 years old, I am French and finished my studies in Grenoble. I am travelling to Central America for the next 7 months, mostly in Mexico. I plan to travel through different volunteer experiences and sports I practice like highlining, spikeball or surfing.
I think I can describe myself as enthusiastic, open-minded and really curious. I love to meet new people and get to know their life experiences, being inspired by new encounters and adapting as best I can to new environments.
I really want to get to know the country and the region where I will be, rather than running around to visit as many places as possible. I also want to improve as good as possible my spanish, I understand quite a lot but still have some trouble to find the right words at the right moment.

My experiences: I mostly lived in Europe, studying international cooperation in France and Germany and did some volunteer work and travels abroad, like in India or in Togo. Last year I worked in Togo to develop Volleyball courses for women in a small city called Kpalimé, as they don't have any team sport in school. I appreciated to stay a few months at the same place, to get better connections with the people I worked with and get an inside view of their culture.
I also went to Benin to do activities with the children of an orphanage, to Poland to teach English in a nursery school, to Corsica to take care of young people in a family camp... I also have some experience in tourism, I helped in a youth hostel in Ireland, I have been working for two years in a campsite during summer and I did an internship in a sports travel agency in Germany.

About me: I grew up bilingual Franco-German and my parents very quickly gave us a taste for travel. But not to weekend trips, rather to trips of several weeks or several months. I love sport, on land or underwater, and I love everything related to food (cooking, eating, testing...). I look forward to get to know new cultures and I am super motivated to participate in any type of project. I am voluntary, hardworking and independent. I hope to learn a lot on the spot.

What can I bring you? My experiences, my willingness to learn but above all my smile and energy. And a lot of sharing.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I adapt very quickly and I think I can help everywhere if there is no really precise professional competence required. I would like to work in guest houses, hostels, hotels... I am also really interested in experiences on a farm or in a self-sufficient/alternative community. But I don't limit myself to a few types of projects, I'm open to everything. I'm also interested in any physical work. My Spanish is for the moment still very limited to speak but I understand a lot and having learned the basics at the school a few years ago I hope to be able to learn it quickly again.
